I believe click and lock between each channel do not work properly most of the time, I have bought more than 20 channels to lay and only two of them working properly, maybe better to improve this, when it comes to use convertor and connection to me it was a pain to get two side connected, maybe better to develop some easier sort of connectors
Well that doesn't explain what makes them hard to remove. The Miele washer machine team can't do it . Nor can I ! installation
should come with the foam preinstalled, since you have obviously had so many complaints that the grate wont come out (that the instructions have changed)

Worked out that there are two small screws underneath the drawer at the front that you remove (one each side) which allows you to pull the drawer out towards you. The rear is held in by a tab that slots into a recess, which you line up into when you replace the drawer. The drawer effectively just sits on the runners held in place by this screw and tab combo....hope this helps!
Thanks for this but the new units have a different drawer system...different runners. I can't for the life of me work out how to remove them. And I need to remove them to install the P trap and washing machine....

How about explainin' how your damn rainwater pit (water basin) fits with your flexible piping?
The problem i find with these drains is that the fall is not built into the drain itself, Therefore if you have 10m of drain to lay, the end of the drain wont be flush with the concrete or paver, the drain will be 10cm lower.
Hi @wazza722, EasyDRAIN can be installed with minimal fall. However, if you do have a situation where you have to install a long length of channel, we recommend connecting stormwater pipe at regular intervals to the channel and run the stormwater pipe with a fall, rather than the channel.

Hi, thanks for your query. It is possible to install EasyDRAIN against an existing structure. Our recommendations for this are on page 13 of our EasyDRAIN Brochure, which you can download from our website using the following link: www.everhard.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/SWD_Brochure_2018_WEBv2.pdf We recommend that you install EasyDRAIN in concrete using an expansion material such as a closed cell foam. hi, i have seen the accessories available, but is it possible to cut this down and join to another piece? i cant see how they would join without having that guided edge to slot in. thanks
ok so i just read that its possible to cut in 200mm increments, i guess thats inbetween the grooves and then each end can slot into your converter. should i use silicon in the converter? or is it designed to contain the water without leakage? also should i butt the concrete right up to the side of the drain and then use a sealant where they both meet? thanks
@@jamskof Hi Newie, that is correct, you can cut the channel between the two ribs at 200mm intervals, then use your converter. The system is designed to click and lock together so there is no need to use silicon. When installing the channel, we recommend you use an expansion tape on either side of the channel (this will allow you to remove the grate at a later time). You will still need to bed the channel down into the concrete bed and allow the concrete to cover the feet and push up both sides of the channel. This will ensure that the channel is secure in the trench. If you use an expansion tape on either side of the channel, silicone is not required. Hopefully this answers your question.
