I really liked the old one, it's made me question whether the other is better or not. It looks too colorful, I'm sure it still captures the important moments, but ehhh. Also why I like FMA up to a certain point more than Brotherhood especially the... one death scene I won't spoil just in case, in Brotherhood it felt less impactful and rushed, but after that and the umm... chimera... dog... scene (again just in case to not spoil people), Brotherhood gets better. Is 2011's HxH the same? Because meanwhile wasn't impressed with Blue Exorcist's revamped anime, the Kyoto arc, at all. Even if it followed the manga closer, just felt wrong especially with certain characters acting towards Rin, mostly with Shiemi. That and the manga still going is why I haven't checked out the 2011 version yet, hoping to binge the entire thing at once.

the 1999 version is so amazing, at first i thought the filler scenes were not needed but they really add so much to each character. The artstyle is also so brilliant as well, especially during the yorknew arc. The cities are drawn so beautifully I wanted to take so many screenshots, this is very well done
