KTM 640 Adventure LC4 Akrapovic Exhaust Installation and Comparison
The KTM 640 Adv has rally heritage and is a future classic. With that said, I recently installed an Akrapovic silencer on my KTM 640 Adv, and provided a comparison to the stock Supertrapp silencer. The bike finally sounds like a rally bike instead of a paint can! Hope you enjoy!

As for the 950 build, I am still working on it. What was initially planned to just be an OEM restoration build has transitioned into a full on rally build incorporating KTM Rallye parts, along with numerous custom one-off parts. I will provide a video update shortly and greatly appreciate your patience!

Just picked up a creampuff hyperminty 05 640 ADV with 4k on the clock. Only has the center stand. Any idea where a brotha could slurp up a side stand for her? Tryna keep chazz levels stable while on trail not put her ass up every blaze sesh. Cheers.
Great restoration.
Twice a 990 owner here (just bought another). DO NOT KEEP the Rottweiler airbox. They disintegrate (and end up in the intake - the least you want to do to your motor) due to the build up heat in the confined space between the two tanks. I ve had two disintegrate in my hands. Warmer climates don't help either and these disintegrate even faster under these conditions. The stock airbox is extremely well thought and doesn't need a profound remapping like the open filters do.
Actually these bikes were banned from Dakar for topping 120mph not 100mph! Ironically, Meoni who helped develop the bike in the first place, was not killed riding the 950 but the bike that replaced it and regulators thought to be "safer" ...

Your channel popped up on my feed. I know these are old videos but are you still riding the bike? I to love these bikes. Or the Honda Transalp 600.
Sorry but without the footage of allegedly rebuilding the engine and "cleaning" the bike the whole channel appears to be a scam. With a "cleaned" frame and motor both without a single scratch and every bit bolt , even the foot pegs, on a 14 year old bike looking like new i am highly in doubt ! All of this over two years ago without and update seems fishy to say the least! I hope you can prove me wrong!

Did you change the main jet or was it happy with the stock jet?
I upgraded to a 162.5 main jet.

Thoughts: I have a 2013 Baja and it is great shape with low miles (5 k ish). Something keeps drawing me to the 950 carb bike. I wrench some, but not an expert. Looking at at 2005.5 Adventure S. Thoughts anyone? Am I mad?
Did you adjust the carburator ?
This Akrapovic muffler for the LC4 640 is tuned to the stock settings of a Mikuni BST 40 carburetor with a 157.5 main jet (p/n 584.31.023.157) and a Keihin FCR 41 MX with a 188 main jet (p/n 545.31.623.188).

Hi, I am waiting on my machinist to finish up a couple of one-off parts to go along with a slew of KTM factory Rallye parts and other modifications. The build has taken longer than expected mainly due to it going the exact opposite of the initial OEM rebuild (and sourcing hard to find parts). I’ll hopefully have an update sooner or later along with a video of another factory Rallye bike I purchased. Thank you for the continued interest. Josh

No kit available per se but everything can be pieced together by utilizing the parts fiche. Hope this helps!

I would love some tips on how to clean the LC8 engine in place (without removing it). It is so grimy and there are so many hoses, wires, and connectors, it is a little daunting even after the tanks are off.
