What’s the alternative? Letting this type of content run wild on youtube? This is like asking why the media brought attention to covid during the pandemic, the point is to address the problem so that the people are aware, the spread can be minimized and hopefully a cure can be found. I agree that this type of content will probably never die, but if any change is to be seen on this platform, the problem must first be addressed. The point of making this video is to invite discussion on how this issue can be solved, or at the very least; contaminated so that it doesn’t spread to other parts of youtube.
