Hey! Yeah, I do requests but I can never promise when or if I'll do it! I also am not particularly good at slap bass, but I can give it a try to see if I can even play the song. So, no promise but I'll see what I can do!

@ytbassmonkey when I slap, instead of actually moving my wrist, or my hand at all, I simply flick my thumb across the string, like a pick. It's a lot easier to use just your thumb rather than your whole hand.

It sure is a lot of fun to play! I always love it when the bass just dances around the chords through walking basslines. It´s also not uncomfortable, it's a good dexterity exercise in itself :)

Hey! Oh boy, that's a great question, and there's a lot one has to figure out on how to make it sound not awful, it is a struggle! First thing that may help, is that I made a short tutorial video a while back on how I do my covers, which shows using an AI audio removal tool to remove the bassparts pretty decently, which gives room for your bass playing to sit a lot better in the mix. Here's the video, and maybe it has some pointers: ua-cam.com/video/pNy24fyuPPM/v-deo.html There's always going to be some noise unless you find some pre-split backing tracks that come from the original recording, but that's pretty rare. When it comes to blending, that's the hardest part in my opinion: I try to mix/blend it so the bass is definitely audible, but not too overwhelming that you can't hear the rest of the song anymore. It's trial and error with a lot of EQ, volume settings and compression finetuning. Good luck, and if you have more questions, feel free to ask, always happy to help! I don't do any guitar tabs myself (I can barely play Wonderwall on a guitar!) but I found this one: www.songsterr.com/a/wsa/all-time-low-ft-blackbear-monsters-tab-s673925 Ultimate-Guitar usually has a lot of tabs, but on there, All Time Low songs are blocked by the copyrightholders (usually the record company). Hope this version I linked helps!

By the way, for what it's worth: it's not Ultimate Guitar's fault that they take the tabs down, since they more or less have to. if the copyrightholder of the music (incl tabs and sheetmusic etc.) orders a website to take it down, they'll take it down or face the chance of being sued for copyright infringement, which would be a courtcase they'll lose and it'll cost them a ton of money in legal fees and maybe even a fine. Ultimate Guitar have asked and been granted permission from some record labels to have tabs of their songs on the website, but some record labels didn't. In the end, the labels own the copyright and they get to decide who or what can use their copyrighted songs.

Funny story, when I bought it, it looked a lot darker on the pictures in the webshop, I was going for a more brown colour, so when it arrived, I considered returning it to swap for a colour I actually had in mind. However, that'd mean I have to repack it, drag the bloody thing to the nearest post office, do all the paperwork and since I was tired, I thought, ah fuck it, I'll do it the next day. When I got up and it was sitting on my standard, I looked at it again and thought "well, it does look kinda cool though..."...and as you can guess, I never returned it. I love the colour now, it's weird how these things change! :)

@@michaelmoore7568 I'll be honest and admit I'm really not that good at recognising the key, but I guess it was A flat minor, but there's some tricky stuff going on with tuning, which could place it closer to G minor indeed!

Aww thank you! Yeah, on the original song I think it's not a real bass, or a real bass that gets blended with a louder synthbass. Doesn't take away it's groovy - and yes - Dua Lipa started a bit of a disco and funk revival with her previous album, which I'm happy to see evolve: more funk, more grooves and mostly, less bored bassists! ;)

Secondly, Just A Girl isn't extremely difficult, just a bit fast in some parts, and the real trouble is if you do the harmonicss parts, which aren't even really that audible in the original song, so easy to just ignore and no one will know! :) Thanks for the compliments and for the sub!
