The Jorbigin story
The one on the bottom is an 80’s analog synth and sounds like it, the one on the top is around $200 worth of wood and electronics masquerading as a prophet and selling for huge Prophet.
Aura Plugins makes a Virus VST/AU plugin editor that replaces the original Virus TI/TI2 editor
💩☕️🤦🏻♂️
Does the hold button hold a note, or is it just for arps?
Why don’t you tell us what the original was
need the 2nd preset, any tutorial pls?:)
Love the minilogue bass and minilogue xd, especially on a set of Adams A8H's w Adams 12 sub!

Yo! I met you yesterday when I parted with my MPC One. Def. Be back to chop it up with you again. I'm a baby in this synth landscape, so I'm glad I met you. Great vid! 1up!
As a synth noob I chose the A1. Why? I can get great sounds by tweaking patches. I have a basic knowledge of synthesis but I just want to write music and perform. Building patches from scratch? no thanks.
Patches are not matched.
I'm new to synth and want to get one to add a new flavor to my standard band context (Guitar, Bass, drums) music. After watching several videos I'm still confused. The synth seems to be always connected to a second or even third device (masterkeyboard?). Does it more than just triggering the tone? Would be great to have a review with only the synths.
Plenty of beginner content online regarding this bro. Just keep searching.
Just got the plug-in and loving it. There must be nearly 2000 sounds in there !
Hey I have one but the Darkstar one. It's my midi keyboard too. I mostly sample the patches I accidentally create(lots of happy accidents )
The strymon really adds flavor to sounds. I have the eventide mod but not totally pleased with it.
The range is the same. There is a transpose switch on the original.
Hi everyone a couple years ago had one like this, and sold because it was not comparable with the pro tools version i was running at that time, means in order to use it need it to down grade my operation system ... don't know now but at that time when i went to TI webside there where not near to come up with an upgrade for people who got it. recomendation for you before you buy any synth do your homework and see if its comparable with what youre are running, dont follow in love just because how it sound do not make the mistake i did, do a research and read about it, today you have a lot of virtual instruments out there, true they never will sound like a true synth but is the closes you can get .... blessings to all
Awesome
probably one of the best synths ever made.
Probably? 😆
@@henkhansum5507 hard to say any one synth is the GOAT but I would clarify my comment that the Virus easily wins GOAT in all time synthesizers. Hell even the new 5k Waldorf Quantum cannot do as much from multi-timbral perspective. Glad I have one of the last Virus synths made.
A gorgeous 80s-DNA and so much more ❤
Around 16:25 it's "a little more clicky" because you have the volume on for Oscillator 3 as you're using it as a modulator.
Hi, sorry if this a silly question but how did you connect your keystep to the uno pro X. I see 2 connections out of the arturia keystep. Where does the micro USB on arturia connect to. Thank you😊
I would love some patch tutorials.
What a beautiful design!
The roland 01A really doesn't sound anywhere near the SH101... it's feels like a joke
:58
I'm assuming this can be controlled so that it has full range......
Whoever made this deserves a raise. What a spectacular demo of a classic.
Bangers!
It's the most beautiful keyboard synth I've seen! I just bought a TI2 desktop but I almost regret not holding out for a Polar.
Same here, desktop TI (V1), and always dreamed of a Polar…
I like these short sound only demos - it gives me a good reference to come back to, when I'm juggling my G.A.S. priorities. Would love to keep seeing more. And yes, the Regen is on my list...some cool stuff there for sure.
What patch is that at 1:50?
Love the character and tone of the motor mk2...nice demo!
Here cuz I saw Linkin Park using this in a live performance of Burn it down
How do you sync them?
Man that Melody at 1:00 is pure Magic! Did u wrote that By urself? Really Beautiful!
He randomly plays keys in tune. There is no melody whatsoever.
@@alicaramba7680u Should really make a Track out of it!
So pleased I kept mine!!
Christoph Kemper is nothing but a genius. And so are the people who contributed all these patches to the community.
Unprecedented, this synth, especially the TI2! When the Virus TI Polar came out I was about to invest in some modern analog very expensive synth. I went to NAMM Show in California and tried them all out. Meh. Then there was this DIGITAL thing. Virus TI. The most fun I've had in ages. It inspired me to no end. So I bought one. Nowadays it's mainly plugins and some analogue semi-modular units for me, but the Virus TI Polar was the best synth I ever bought. And the sexiest one when it comes to the look. And I used to own an EMS VCS-3 in pristine condition...
Wasn't impressed with the sound in a couple of UA-cam reviews.... but this video changed my mind. (Too bad IK is a difficult company to deal with if you have issues.)
@3:24 if you can't hear the very evident difference in tone there, either you need better speakers, or you need to have your hearing examined. The REV3 is bright and the REV4 is dull.
How can you be sure the settings are excatly the same on both? Comparing one patch does not tell anything at all. Did you know you can make a sound brighter by turning the filter?
Classic synth i have the OG have not had a chance to play with the boutique. Great video!
Rev 3 just sounds better overall and I don't see anymore sound design possibilities with the 4 so I'd always go for the sound and use good external fx to create original sounds. I guess theres a reason older Prophets command a higher price.
I don’t think the difference worth the amount of money. Most of the time rev 3 doesn’t sound better but different, and even in some scenarios rev 4 sounds better if you check other comparisons. The difference is not that relevant I would say, and if you are a good sound designer you can make some sounds even better than what you see in several demos out there. I own a rev 4 and I can say this comparison doesn’t really show up how great the synth is, and I am pretty sure it wouldn’t be that easy to try replicating the other way around (I imagine these comparisons may try to replicate what rev 3 does instead of focusing on what rev 4 can do great).
@@Doneturin your opinion what is the Rev 4 better at? I have one and while I think it sounds fantastic, it’s hard not to give a slight edge to the 3. At any rate, I agree that the price difference between the two in no way reflects the subtle differences, and that having a stable, reliable prophet is preferable in my situation over something that needs constant attention. Dave said he wanted to make a Prophet people could depend on in a live situation. And so there you have it. As a result, it sounds a tad bit more static, but that’s what you get if you want something that won’t go wonky after a few hours.
@ the Rev4 is better because of the features (specially the P10, for example it has poly unison), stability, vintage knob, but these may be details. I am also sound designer so I have explored the unit to the limits, this is also relevant to have my own opinion, and maybe this also may affect the perception over the unit (a bad sound designer will never know how it really can sound, not saying this is your case but this is true so it should be considered). It is also true that I have never owned a rev 3, so my opinion is biased based on the available demos I have seen. Cheers!
@@Donetur I make original underground dance Music that is played by djs all over the world so I think im good on the sound design front. Poly unison while nice is only useful for a big sound and something I can replicate with by stacking voices adding chorus from a Roland sdd320 or adding another sound from my xpander etc etc. at the end of the day the sound of the actual synth is more important for how I use it. My P5 provides a lot of rhythmic stabs and pads in my music.
@@mollyoko well, to be honest if you believe you are a good sound designer ok. Nevertheless, it is also a true for me that the available demos dont show the possibilities of rev 4 (at least to my taste and in my personal opinion which may be biased because of my tastes). On the other hand the fact you can replícate something alternativelly doesnt make the option less good, I could also say that as I need to cut down frequencies in a mix a Behringer UB-Xa is the same than an OB-X8 in a practical scenario. But thats not the point nor fair from my perspective. In any case I would love to listen the results of what you describe.
I just got a pristine ti2 whiteout.
AWESOME!!! ❤🎉🎉
How are liking it still after 10 months? Someone in my city has one for sale on Facebook marketplace and I'm considering splurging on it. It will be the first synth I've gotten in about 14 years, last one being the Alesis Micron which I loved.
@@NoMasNames I like it but is a VST in a box. You can do whatever you want with it but is a vst. I rather have a Roland D-50 to explore things. It all depends on what you want to do.
Excellent job! Just got my X8 today. Could you please explain to me how to dial in Jump from the factory A1 brass patch?
is it factory presets ??? this machine is so amazing when you start it you cant stop it, VIRUS is really the name i need vaccination ...
Nice demo. Love the bass. Anyone know if the TI2 USB connection works in Windows 11? Does other software work in Windows 11? Thanks!
windows is always backwards compatible so yes it will still work
My Access Virus Ti2 is alive and i’m very happy with it. But there is a strange thing with Access Music website, registration seems to be unavailable. After sending a registration form nothing changes on the page, only email becomes busy as already registered. And i still cannot log in. Password reset via email doesn’t work, I’m waiting for feedback for 3 months. It’s very annoying that i still can’t download the official vst plugin
Sounds awesome if you like church music. 👎
Maybe he's using basic sine waves. But additive synthesis requires skills to make crazy sounds.
Jesus wept. 😢
