    Very cool to see. I was never able to perform a full squat snatch consistently well and Stephen was a huge factor in my converting to a split snatch as my competition lift. It was definitely affirming to see someone doing the split snatch at a fairly high level. My training has definitely benefited from the change.

    It is crazy how much the clean and jerk responds to squats. One thing I didn’t quite understand about your PR was how long you did your program before hitting it. It seems like you sent it based off of how you felt and not a specific point in a program

    • @stegelmannperformance
      @stegelmannperformance 10 місяців тому

      The clean and jerk is directly related to squats! Yes, my program was all auto-regulated, meaning I adjusted on a daily basis based on how I felt. It took me about 3 months of this style before I hit the 162kg PR.

    • @stegelmannperformance

      @@LucasDimoveo it's all good! People who have experience in this sport know that once you reach a certain level, PR's are few and far between. Advanced lifters struggle for years just to put a few kgs on their total.
