hi from Jo'burg sitting with ideal problem on Opel Corsa 1.4 have done every thing I can to check through all possible scenarios and change all relevant sensors as per watch your videos most recently I had to replace the throttle body cable or petrol cable try find the same length cable as what was taken out but also spare shops around here told be that the old cable been modify how I don't no as took it in as sample when wanted to replace it as it was stretch they gave me what they say original cable to the 1.4 but it's still lil bit to long so power on engine low any thoughts on way forward

these were very common engines in europe in the 80s/90s . It was very common for them to destroy cams and followers. Ive fitted dozens of cam kits to these motors.That aside Great engines though

Hi opelman im having a issue with my temperature guage it's a 1.6 2002 gsi. So when I turn the ignition on the temp goes passed the red mark and the cars cold and she starts with no issues or check engine lights so ya any advice would be helpful, and love the video's 👌

Hi....quick question.....replaced a blown head gasket on my 1.4...now when i drive theres a slight jerk..it dissapears when i accelerate but when i cruise at constant speed i feel it ...what might it be??...and also my fan wont work automaticaly but when i unplug the temp switch it works...what might that be as well(based in limpopo)...

I got chargee 32k for an engine rebuild fot a 1.4 2006 bakkie And I still feel like the timing is off. It has electrical issues and feels severely under powered I love these bakkies but the mechanics I know are just thieves

I think imho u should pay more !!ATTENTION!! to ambient temp it decides what type of oil u SHOULD use "not you do" theres a reason why oil viscosity's differ cause of ambient temps "outside weather" you cant run 20w50 in cold weather its thicker it labours the oil pump in most engins this is a free lesson 4rm me 2 you 👍

What spray or name of the paint did you use on the sump, cylinder head and the camshaft box?

Help me brother. My Corsa idles good but once I accelerate n stop, revs almost drop to 0.5 rpm, sometimes it dies instant. Even when I'm driving at speed, once I depress the clutch, car revs go down to 0.5 rpm until I reach a stop or engage a gear.

Jis Mnr, I replaced the idle control valve sensor but the car revs very high how can I sort that out, it forced me to put. The faulty part back that does not move when I switch ignition on and off when taken out

I I enjoy your videos. My 1400 qamma had a damaged qear and it chewed up the key on the crankshaft. I took a piece of steel the same size as the qear and drilled three holes of 4mm diameter into the blank/jiq as well as a 12 mm hole for it to fit to the crank. . Then I bolted it to the crankshaft and qear and drilled three holes of 3,2mm half into the qear and half into the crankshaft and then tapped it in place. So the thread is half into the crank and half into the qear at 120 degrees to each other. Then I inserted three m4 grub screws in with locktite. Have done 100k on it It is called a dutch key. Qooqle it .Saves you having to replace a crank . All you need is a mate with a mill and lathe. But if you are a opel mechanic its useful to have. If I find the jiq you can have it . Luckily I have a lathe and mill.
