I don’t know what’s sadder, Dom’s last words or Marcus’ reaction and fleeting moment of belief that there was even a chance that he could get his best friend out of that explosion. Amazingly well done scene from one of my favorite game franchises. Hits me every time.

The way Anya screams "He's gone" to Marcus stumbling, attempting to crawi into a literal inferno is seared into my brain.

It's sad. because all of us or at least most of us who've come here after the E-Day announcement have lost co-op partners, old rivals, etc. people that won't get to see where it all began. There are definitely going to be tears release day when some of us are sitting there, looking at our old friends, and families names that we played with and knowing they aren't there anymore. To all the Gears that we've lost along the way. No one will ever replace you. just like no one will ever replace Dom.

I gotta say this was one of the first time I found myself getting emotional. My brother and I played Gears Of War Split screen 1 and 2, 3 was no different. I was always player two. So I played as Dom in every single game even though Baird had always been my favorite charter Dom was my Character that I played as in the Story in every single game. When this happened and I was given control of Anya I lost all will to keep playing. I was pissed and Told my brother I didn't want to play anymore, I'll just watch you play the rest in single player... At first he was like WTF but after awhile it sunk in and He was like "Yeah, I get it." and I watched him play the rest of Gears of war 3 because My character that I played all 3 games with... just died and controlling Anya didn't feel the same and I just didn't want to play anymore. For a video game to do THAT to me was a first.

Till this day it wasnt the same playing as player 2 can't wait for E-Day

Watching this never gets easier

This scene can still make me cry everytime I see it. I couldn't stop crying when I first got to this part of the game. Dom is one of my favourite characters and to see him die broke my heart. No other game has ever come close to make me cry quite like this. Gears of war is truly a special game. Rest in peace, Dom.
