You forgot to hammer in the plastic plugs into the holes where the metal clips get pushed in.
You're right! I completely forgot to show that! They hold the panel tight to the door
what a pain in the ass just to replace a turn signal bulb i will live without it
The bulbs are easy. This is the whole assembly
How cold does it have to be and necessitate the needs to, heat it up like that ? right now, it's about about 40 to 45 degrees outside where I am
Just toss em in the freezer overnight
Love the cart videos man. Keep em coming
I'm glad you like them! I'm going to try to keep them coming, thanks!
Gotta take the entire engine out in order to change a lightbulb
Transmission too! It’s not a super hard job though.
A crappy design.
Lookin good
Thank you so much!
I just watched a female change the same light. Without all of the parts being detached. 40 second video. Wtf dude. Waste of time..😅😅😅
Is that a 1/4 inch electric ratchet.?
It’s a 3/8”
@BackyardGarage1 thanks and I like your 77 camaro.
Which selenoid is that? I need to order one. Thanks
www.amazon.com/TABODD-MZJ-400A-Solenoid-Contactor-Replacement/dp/B081CSZCZF This is the solenoid that I got.
Don’t forget the resistor as well. www.amazon.com/Golf-Cart-Pre-Charge-Solenoid-Solenoids/dp/B00UW3PGEA
@ Thank you.
There is no such thing as a wrong way to keep these cars rolling. Yours looks great. I had a 77 as a kid and I spent wonderful times in it. If I built another one it would be the largest big block I could afford, a six speed Tremec and a goal of 200mph, just to say I did it...
That’s a great goal for a 77. They are great cars to work on and make your own.
Hey man, thanks so much for the video! My head lights are so dim that if someone is driving towards me, I can barely see the road! It's time for me to change the housing assembly and this video does a great job showing how easy, albeit time consuming, it is to change them. So, again, thank you so much for the detailed and very easy to understand/follow instructions! I hope life's been good to you and that you're doing well.
Glad it was helpful! You'll be able to see again in no time! Mine were the same way
Great video. I’m getting ready to rewire my 79 Camaro. This video definitely helped me build some confidence. Looks very doable. I’m more nervous about removing my dash. Also, I was planning to get a Kwik Wire harness b/c I heard painless harnesses weren’t that painless. I hadn’t heard of the brand you got. Did you consider kwik wire and if so, what made you go with American Autowire?
I have not heard of the kwik wiring harness. I only considered painless and this one. But I’m super happy with this one. I used the painless wire loom though.
JUST SHORTEN THE TUBE FOF THE TRANSMISSION.
Did you ever do the alignment video? I'm collecting my parts to do this same thing to my 2009 DS.
I have not done the alignment video yet. Life got busy and I have not had time to do that as of yet.
My mixing screw looks sealed 😊
If it’s sealed, try to put it into an ultrasonic cleaner or soaking it in chem dip (can get at auto parts store) and let it sit and soak for about an hour or 20 minutes in ultra sonic and then rinse with water and blow out all passages to make sure they are clear.
Wasn’t seal cap just no slot for screwdriver 🪛 but like a D shaped head so I a slot myself.
@ ok awesome!
Wow! This looks incredible. I love seeing the progress, thanks for sharing!
Thanks! It was a lot of work but we have made a huge transformation on it so far. Can’t believe we got this place! It was exactly what we were looking for
I realize that my question doen't make ant sense, because the new motor is AC & the new harness would have a electric F&R, TOW/RUN switch along with the wire harness.
I am not seeing the question you asked.
I understand now, I don’t think there is a series motor option. If you contact Siver Wolf, they might have something but I’m not sure.
Excelent🔥❤️
Thank you!
@@BackyardGarage1 I mean, after placing the kits do you have to align the wheels? or does not affect it, it is left normal
@@yhonatannarvaez1786 yes you should get an alignment
@@yhonatannarvaez1786 yes you have to align the wheels. 🛞
If you don’t it will pull to the side slightly
Thanks for the video i used to do auto body in college just for fun and just informative i think why you got your orange peel is you said it was cold so im assuming its cold in your garage, and you also did some thick coats instead of more light coats. other than that looks good for a rattle can job.
You are correct! I should have been more careful with the coats.
mine works but is not pumping any cfm's. took the head off all ok, not sure to what to do next?
It would be hard to say. What do the reeds look like? Are they broke?
Is there SERIES MOTOR kit?
I don’t think so. You have to have the Curtis 1510 or 1515 controller for this to work.
Should have painted inside of fender as well. Will not last long with just factory primer.
That's a good point! I'll make sure to do that next time I have to replace a fender.
Great job and thanks for sharing! I really needed this one.
Awesome! I hope the install went well for you.
When you initially hung the exhaust did you place it right where you wanted it to be and clamp it up or did you push it up tight to the floor to account for sag?
I put the exhaust where I wanted it to be and then tightened the clamps down. When the clamps were tightened and the hangers were in place, it stayed where I wanted it to.
Thank you. I’m about to install Pypes full dual exhaust on my Camaro
@@davevandenbranden3309 it’s a very nice kit and it sounds good. Hopefully you get it installed with no issues
@@BackyardGarage1 Finished it up yesterday. It went well! I did have to cut the pipe that goes over the rear axle and weld it back together at a slightly different angle as well as move the rear hanger tabs to get it to line up but no other mods
@@davevandenbranden3309 that’s great! How do you like the sound in person?
Can I have the link to your headlight ? Is it LED light ?
I don’t have the link anymore.
I got a 1980 t top that im looking to restore, truly an awesome car!
Awesome! Should be a fun project
Thanks for the video, I was able to change mine
Glad I could help
@@BackyardGarage1 I had the excact concern that you encountered....lol. but i did it and it saves some bucks.
hell yeah bro! sport mode wheelies coming up? lol
You know it! Although I have yet to put the bad boy on full throttle it’s crazy scary going 35mph on a golf cart haha
Air liquefaction temperature is usually -196 degrees centigrade. Impossible to effectively liquify without lowering the temperature considerably
Thanks for the information
Hello. This is Cherry from Coverado. Are you interested in working with us to try our Ram custom seat covers and help us make a video?
Yes I am. You can send me an email with information at johnsbackyardgarage@gmail.com
On the ultrasonic, did you turn on the heat? If so, what temperature? Thanks in advance
Yes I do. I set it to max heat. The hotter the better for cleaning. Helps get any grease loose and come off.
@@BackyardGarage1 awesome thanks again! I have a 2009 Honda Foreman TRX500FE
@@jonnyv.5718 awesome! Good luck getting her running.
I need help your awesome at this creation thing.

They made it so difficult
Yeah they did. But to be honest, it’s not too bad
Don’t do this dumb shit. Go through the tire area without taking ur car apart
Great job. Looks delicious.
This is crazy, you have to take the bumper off to get to replace the light!!!!!
Yeah it’s not too bad though
Not the bulb you can through the wheel well but the headlight assembly if your projector or lens is yellow oxidized or clogged
Do you need the plastic star parts ?
I believe you do
I subscribed
Awesome thank you so much!
Several projects ive done on my car and truck because of instructional videos on youtube. Looks easy but it isnt and you find yourself cussing and kicking shit LOL. Its worth it in the end when you can do it on your own if you have the time. Good video.
Ain’t that the truth though lol
appreciate you taking the time out to us how it is done.. Did you have to do a wheel alignment afterwards
Yes I did. Thank you for watching and tuning in!
Nice video, looks really good. I have a question.... you applied the epoxy primer over the all the surface including the filling. Isn't it supposed to be applied only on bare metal?
It can be applied to just about anything. Even previously painted surfaces, filler and a lot of other things
Nice work! We all care about you and want more videos, so use Jack Stands. Also, when you remove the CV axle, finish the ball joint before putting the axle in, just in case it damages anything. It's already out for more room.
Great video man, Thank you. My girl backed up my truck into a yellow pole at McDonald ; I took the truck to a couple of body shops they were trying to charge me at least 2k for the job.
Yeah labor is very expensive. My bother does auto body but said would cost about the same. Hopefully you can get your back up and running only advice I have is to get way more paint then you think you will need.
Hi, I want to buy one for $1,350.00. The top won't go up. Sound like a motor problem. How do i get the top up? Where is the motor located?
Is this a towlow or a Hilo that you’re looking at? The tow low like I have does not have a motor but only has a manual crank on them. There is a Facebook group for Hilo and they would know more about those than I would. They are very similar but the Hilo had motors and not tolows.
@@BackyardGarage1 1997 Hi Lo 240D
This one has a motor on it. The guy connect power to it this morning. We could here the motor but it would not lift the top at all. I read some where online it has a manual back up, but we don't know where it's located.
@@lefty5463 try to search for “how to use the Hilo raise bypass” on UA-cam. I don’t know what your setup is exactly but there were some videos I saw.
@@BackyardGarage1 Ok i will look again. I didn't see any video's how to raise bypass HiLo. Maybe i didn't type it in right. I don't know how much longer this dealer will have it, he just got it in this month. He claims he has about $1,350.00 in it. It could be other people looking at it also. Time is running out.
Hello! I noticed that for the most part the kit had came with the correct adapter and if it didn’t you were able to put a different adapter to fit the connections. My question is did most of the adapters fit or was further research needed prior to buying the harness?
Hi there. This kit came with pretty much everything needed to require the whole car minus the AC wiring. There was no additional research that needed to be done and I am more than happy with what came in the kit. The only other thing I got was the wire looms and crimping tools as specified and that was it.
Quick question were did you get your filter for your resovair
It came with the kit but I think you can get them at speedway motors
Genius Idea about the kilmat I think I might do that myself Not gonna lie
Nicely done
Thank you! 🙏
You need to add what size sockets it takes to remove everything
I’ll do that next time. Thanks for the advice 🙏
