Приєднався 20 лис 2020
At the Wonderful World of Montessori we focus on putting the child first. On this channel we will be helping Montessori directresses around the globe, as well as mom's at home that are interested in the Montessori method.
We show how all of the Montessori presentations are done using the correct Montessori materials. We will try to upload a new video every week, all using the Montessori method.

Montessori Math Multiplication Board
The Multiplication Board is a wooden board used in a Montessori classroom in the Math area. The board has 100 holes arranged in 10 rows of ten. There is a slot on the left of the board for the number card to be inserted in. The numbers 1-10 are printed along the top of the board. A red counter is slotted into the top left-hand corner of the board.
For this activity, we also use 100 red beads which are kept in a wooden box, ten number cards with the numbers 1-10 printed on them in red, which are kept in another wooden box.
This activity shows the child different ways of doing multiplication, reinforces multiplication, and the multiplication (x) and equals (=) signs, as well as this activity gives the child an understanding of the process of multiplication and to memorise the multiplication tables.

Montessori work cycle
Переглядів 2,8 тис.Рік тому
A working cycle in a Montessori classroom is a set period of time where children are encouraged to find purposeful work. The working cycle normally lasts two to three hours, and it's intended to help children develop their ability to focus, be independent, and exercise self-control. This video shows the beauty of a typical Montessori morning at my school in China.

The concentration that a three year old is capable of is quite incredible. Given the correct environment, children can really flourish and grow to their full potential. The development of fine motor skills is so important for young children to acquire. It was amazing watching Leo show a tremendous amount of concentration and patience during the cutting activity today!

This was amazing.. could you please do the sandpaper presentation on your next video ❤
Hie . Very neat and clear presentation thank you. I have a question , when now I want to present number rods for the kiddo , he can count 1 to 10. Sometimes he does it fast counting . I am just starting my Montessori journey one by one. can we skip this presentation and go for number rods . In maths . Or is this red rod presentation must . He’s older kid 3.5 + ?
@@sowmya_S06 Hi there, good question. You should definitely present the Red Rods before the Number Rods, in order for the child to have a clear understanding of visual discrimination. Once he’s mastered measuring the length of the Red Rods, you can move onto the Number Rods. Hope this helps!
@ sure thanks for the advise :)
Neat and good presentation ! here I tried with my older kid , however they doesn’t do in the same way , instead they hold the second pitcher with other hand and balance . In these case how we should nt interrupt them and how to direct them again any tips ?
@@sowmya_S06 Hello, it’s ok if they don’t do it exactly how I do it. Try not to interrupt them while they’re busy working, however what you can do is maybe represent it to your child, and ask him if he would like to have a turn this way. Hope this helps!
This is very neat and good . Thanks :)
