The mission of BCHCS is to establish, organize, support, and promote events related to traditional and contemporary Bulgarian culture, to preserve Bulgarian heritage in the greater Seattle area; to engage, educate and do outreach to the Bulgarian and the Greater Seattle Community; and collaborate with other organizations to promote Bulgarian culture and heritage. BCHCS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Tax ID: 45-3174003

I hear normally Black Metal who stepped by accident in this bulgarian rabbit hole and i am now in absolute LOVE with bulgarian folk music. These singers and harmonics are absolute lovely. Also the beautiful lyrics! (as translated from bulgarian its a Song about staying aside your mother)
Hi, they are not good enough. Bulgaria is the land of Orpheus. The authentic folklore of the Bulgarians is something unattainable. It is pity that they are disappearing as a nation and this wealth will be lost.

As a kabyle too, that's so true. i've always told myself so as well, what a joy to have something similar with another underappreciated culture like bulgarian one ! My father grew up in Alger and used to watch concert of the bulgarian voices on TV as a child, when it has remain so underknown in France and Occident due to the cold war bakc then... They deserve more aknowledgment, just like we amazighen and kabyles do ! All great traditional cultures <3
