Hey thanks for commenting! There is only a slight difference between the non-ATV and the ATV-X version of these decks. The ATV-X version has two layers of fiberglass instead of wood, giving them a little bit more rigidity and slightly less weight. For cruising, you'd probably never notice a difference! Honestly when I’m pushing the limits or learning new moves I almost always wear my knee and wrist pads. We’ve got a huge concrete bowl at my local and I always throw on the brain bucket for skating in there!

I really appreciate this comment and thank you for your thoughts. I hadn’t heard that-thanks for bringing it up. Feel free to share more details if you have them; it's important to uncover these things. For what it’s worth, I didn’t buy these-my old sponsor hooked me up. That said, it can be tough to avoid brands with problematic histories, and if we dig deep enough, we might find issues with many companies. I try to focus on using the gear I have for good. These wheels are just urethane, and a lot of people contributed to making them-not just one person with problematic views. Obviously, I don't condone or support any far-right conspiracy stuff, but the wheels didn't do anything wrong, nor did the other people who work for that brand.

@ I don’t remember too many details about it however what I remember is that the founder was a conspiracy theorist who believed into a conspiracy theory that some aliens would build space ships in a so called alienworkshop. That’s all I can remember but I’ll do some research and I’ll write another comment if I do find something interesting. And yes I know it’s really hard to avoid every brand with bad history. Especially here in Germany basically every brand is owned by nestle or was founded by the Nazis

Oh man I've had a ton of people tell me I'm too old - even when I was a teenager and a younger man. Lots of folks out there are intimidated by their own failing health and advancing age, and I think they want to keep the rest of us scared. Misery loves company, after all. Funny thing, I'm actually in the best shape of my life at 38 years now. I've never been better at skateboarding or enjoyed it more than I am right now. Lots of people have this idea that you have to "act your age" aka give up on your dreams and stop having fun just because you've got a career, or a family, or a mortgage payment, or whatever. The only thing I'm too old for is to let the limiting beliefs of people I do not aspire to be like have any impact on how I live my life. Thanks for the comment dude!

Hey, thanks for the comment! I’m stoked you liked it. I haven’t tried those wheels yet, but I did ride a set of OJ Super Juice wheels in 87a this summer for a few months. I really liked them, but they felt a bit slower compared to my Dragons. Since I’m usually skating smooth parks or my mini ramp, I don’t really need softer wheels most of the time. That said, I’m planning to set up a crusty street spot board next summer because my friends and I are starting a full-length project. For that setup, I’ll definitely be looking for a slightly softer wheel. If you end up trying them, let me know what you think! Happy holidays, my friend, and stay rad!

Same here! It actually really trips me out that I've got it in my bag now. I have a couple of nice local 3' and 4' quarter pipes I'm planning on taking this to in the spring!

I would say that is largely accurate. The smaller nose, wider tail and shape, and added weight of a larger board all contribute to making it a bit harder to flip and pop. There are some pros who skate shapes like this (Chris Hiett for one, who skates a Powell Saiz shape) and he seems to have zero issue with nollie tricks or flip tricks in general. I'm not much of a flip tricker, I do the occasional kickflips and heelflips fine. If you're focused on flip tricks, I wouldn't suggest a big shaped board but lots of people do ride them.
