Prices have dropped because apple abandoned the Intel processor. My 2013 system with i7 was around $160 with local pickup. I run Ubuntu 23.10, so this system is perfect for me.

The prices can and should go around $100, though this one has the i7 and fully-populated memory. I picked this auction over another because this unit didn't need immediate work. The other was a 2010; much easier to work on, but the i7 870 is getting aged.

I’ve had a iPod classic generation 7 for years and love it. the hard drive final failed and I sent it to ifix to be upgraded to 256gb with a 3000 mah battery and now it continues to be a daily music player and the battery lasts nearly a month between charges.
