Video showing me hauling my 8500 pound camper with my truck from Teton to Jackson. Route is now open for traffic. Wanted to show everyone a video of this as not many has been posted yet.

Wanted to make a quick video on this because I didn't see one showing how to do this or ones thoughts on the product. Let me know what you think.

what i don't understand is why the bigger the shackle, the lower it drops...

Pulled the axle up more making it closer to the frame

The longer the shackle the higher the spring goes away from the stock placement. The spring sits above the mounting bracket and the shackle “hangs” down from the spring and attaches to the frame. If you pop your head under your truck, you will see what I am saying. Hope this helps.

Did you ever have any driveline vibrations or added shims?

Nope. Just the factory shims. No vibrations. It rides better than stock now.

Once the factory shackle comes off, is there any lining up the PMF shackle? Also how high did you jack the truck up from the hitch?

No lining up. They fit right in the factory openings. Only had to jack the truck up like 2" on the hitch to lift the truck up. Now that I have had these on for a while now and have driven and towed with them for a while, I can honestly say it doesn't change the rid pretty much at all. Maybe a little bit softer. Let me know if you have any other questions.

You have to jack the truck up enough that the frame is no longer sitting on the leaf springs. I think I hate to jack up the frame (from the trailer hitch mount) about 4” to take the weight off. Once you remove the bolts, you actually slightly lower the truck (from the hitch) which drops the back down a bit and then you slide in the new shackles. The install is super easy. Took about an hour with shooting the video and I had never done it before.
