Hey there, everyone! I'm Matt Dobbins, and I'm thrilled to welcome you to my little corner of the internet. This Channel (and my other social media) is more than just a virtual space; it's a reflection of my passion for exploration, adventure, and the simple joys of life. Through these platforms, I aim to share with all of you my journeys, experiences, thoughts, culinary explorations, and the various facets of my life.
Feeling the Pain of Our Neighbor
Sometimes our pain can be so great that we no longer have hope. It’s in these times that our soul dims, our spirit is hamstrung, and our heart darkens in ways where the promise of tomorrow seems like a dream, not a reality. When I personally found myself in this state of the deepest pain I had ever experienced, I received a loan, a loan of hope. I still receive hope from amazing, beautiful people each day. The beauty of these loans is that those who have extended such relief do not expect me to pay them back personally. Rather, they have encouraged me to continue expressing what I have learned and how I have grown on my own personal journey to others who are experiencing profound pain themselves. It is these beautiful people who have become my family, my community, and in many ways, my hope as partners in this great journey. It is the profound beauty and kindness of their hearts and actions that keep me going. Their path and actions inspire me to try to be a better person and to give my own heart and energy to those who cannot yet proceed confidently with their power alone. I am reminded of this often when I feel down and somehow have the opportunity to shine a small amount of light on the path of someone who is standing in darkness.Perhaps that is the takeaway: none of us should be alone, and as long as we are open to accepting help in new and unexpected ways, none of us will be alone. #pain #community #communitysupport #kindness #powerofpositivity #exjwhelp #exjwsthink #exjw

Resilient Humans #10 : Leave Others With Smile

Best advice I ever received! "Focus on other people and ask yourself what steps you can take to make a person smile and happy, even if it's for just that moment or that day. Make it your goal to leave your conversation with them feeling better than when the conversation started." #intentionschallenge #intentionalcommunity #buildingcommunity #mindfulness #mindful #intentionalliving #intentions #...

Hey Matt, I worked with you at walkill back in 07/08, I'd love to get in touch again.
Hey friend! Shoot me an email with your contact info web@mattdobbins.com
Respect for your honesty and vulnerability. God bless ❤🙏🇺🇸🇨🇦
Thank you my friend. That means a lot.
My pleasure! If you ever need an online buddy to trade war stories, you're welcome to chat with me. I have very few friends and would like to chat with someone who understands the struggles of our lifestyle. I was raised pentecostal where they shout and spoke in tounges, so you can only imagine. Lol 😊
I completely understand! Love your video! I was put through gay conversion therapy, and I still to this have flashbacks with depression and anxiety. Now i am on meds, and I feel so much better. I wish you all the best in life! Stay strong.😊
Thank you my friend! 💙I appreciate you sharing that with me too!
I ❤ a good storm!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾love that you walking lol from Chicago
Midwesterners gotta be midwesterners lol
Kids that age think a person is OLD at 30. I don't think they realize what a lifetime is exactly. An adult looks at a 10 year old as a child- always. When I was 30, I thought back to my 18-year-old self and realized even in 18 I was very young. Now that I'm in my late '50s, I look back at my 30-year-old self, but see I was an adult even though I wasn't experienced. I don't think any person at all under the age of 20 should be allowed to make a decision that will last a lifetime. It's a setup for failure. Period.
It’s just unfathomable!
My life began the day I walked away from Christianity. Not JW, but I still feel solidarity. I hope you find a better peace, because you deserve it. 🥰
I’m glad you found a better place!
@@matthew Likewise!
This is why in the United States of America the pride community is so hated and made a joke for how much they are given exceptions to rules and what is offensive
Big hugs hater! 💙

🎉🎉🎉🎉😂😂😂 wow
It's so pretty 😍
🙋♀️ Hello Matthew I remember back in 1970. I was 12 We used to be able to get closer to every thing As sideways were much closer to what ever we were looking at I have many of my Dad super 8. Movies showing every thing In 2005 i took a good friend of mine to Yellowstone And we had a blast Thanks for sharing your video Brings back a lot of childhood and adult memories From Alberta, Canada 🇨🇦
When people hold the door open for me, I turn toward them and say thank you. I usually get a nod or smile and that's enough for me.
Thank you for capturing this wonderful moment.
Thank you my friend!
You brought bear spray right, cause I think you got a problem
Absolutely!
If single, how??
On my bucket list
You gotta get there!
Never been. Thanks for sharing
You should!
Pure judgment lol 😂
😂
Nowadays its more of an expected thing instead of a nice gesture to hold the door if you see someone close enough that the door would still be closing on them as their getting there, because it makes it harder to push back, so most peoppe just go 'uh-huh' or 'no problem' even though nearly everybody still says thank you Edit: not to mention i dont really see a lot of people using youre welcome much at all and using alternatives, probably just a culture shift too because most of the people that are willing to help you out of the blue just see it as human decency to help
