FINALLY got a bass - Fishing Vlog (EXPLICIT LANGUAGE)
May 25, 2024
Apologies for the format, I was still blissfully ignorant of what the GoPro settings meant.
My friends and I went on a camping trip, I got an early start and got to try out some things I had been wanting to try for a while. I finally got some success and even managed to catch more than one. I had no idea what was in store for me the next day.

First time pleco fishing - Fishing Vlog
Переглядів 12221 годину тому
After a small walk I realized there are a lot of fish called "plecos" in a nearby river. I decided to try and catch them after doing not a lot of research, thinking my experience would be enough. I try worms, cucumbers, corn, peas and lures. I eventually try to just hook them with a treble hook and bobber which eventually evolved into an egg sinker above a small treble hook. I nearly had succes...

May 9th, 2024 My family decided to take a beach trip, and of course my dad and I decided to fish. Or try to. The conditions were not in our favor and the wind kept blowing our rigs, even after switching to heavier pyramid weights, the waves and weeds got in the way. We decided to go to a different area and try using my dad's new cast net, and both of us needed to practice. Bad. I stopped wearin...

Sept 30th, 2024 My dad and I go to our normal spot, right at the perfect time. Feeling confident I start with a topwater crawdad, slowly loosing confidence as I cast more and more. Eventually I switch lures with the same result. We move spots and discover a new location, which also seems dry but after hours of throwing lures I eventually have some luck. After even longer with no luck we relocat...
Update on spinners
Переглядів 34921 день тому
I was originally planning on make a video where I use the spinners and get statistics on them, until I realized my lack of a vehicle prevents me from getting any actual data, and when I go I want to catch fish and enjoy myself, which I do not do when I'm using spinners the whole time. I talk about spinners, the new ones I got and the ones I found, clean a few of them up, and go fishing with my ...

Sept 28th, 2024 In a desperate attempt to get some fishing time in that week, my dad and I go to our usual spot at an unusual time. I try out some cheap spinners I got from Walmart, as well as some lures I found in the past while fishing. I was hoping to catch large tilapia like I was a few weeks back, and gather intel for a video regarding spinners and tilapia. Unsurprisingly the temperatures ...

May 8th, 2024 Our 3rd attempt at catching anything decent, my dad and I go to a new spot, attempting just about everything I have once again, moving spots and even throwing out live bait. I forgot to record when I eventually caught something of course but my dad thankfully got it kinda lmao. After my dad called it and went to find somewhere to sit an alligator decided I was vulnerable enough to...

I'm using 4lb 8 strand neon braid with a 6lb fluorocarbon leader on a 2-6lb spinning reel paired with a 1-6lb light-ultralight fast action rod. (I bought everything from Walmart besides the braid) My dad and I go to our spot once again. I bring my remaining Ukrainian micro lures to catch some tilapia as the footage from the last trip doesn't exist, THANKS GOPRO. After getting very little action...

May 3rd, 2024 My dad and I return for day 2 With more fellow fishermen around my dad and I return to the dock in an attempt to overcome the struggle we went through the previous day. I try lure after lure after lure, talking with locals and trying everything I possibly can to catch a bass or anything willing to bite my artificial lures. Even my dad who's using live bait is struggling to catch a...
Trying Ukrainian lures for the first time
Переглядів 718Місяць тому
After noticing a small larva swim with an action not too different than a paddle tail, I decided to find a lure that could get me as close to that as possible and I stumbled across this Ukrainian lure on Amazon. As per usual now that I'm without a vehicle, my dad and I go to our spot, and the lure doesn't let me down. It takes some figuring out but eventually I figure out what works best with i...

May, 2024 Despite the lack of action I still find it important to post this video as it was the beginning of what pushed me to eventually catch a 4lb bass. I'm not amazing at fishing by any means but I hate getting skunked and I love catching fish so I'm going to do my best to be as effective of a fisherman as I can. After witnessing a friend catch a bass at my favorite spot, (I thought they di...

Apologies for the bad quality and color grading, I recently became aware of how important it is to edit all the footage in one go and export it, the alternative being a significant decrease in quality, which is what you're seeing here. The bad color grading is in part because of playing too much with my GoPro settings and not checking as the sun rose, (I'm lazy). My dad and I discover a new spo...

It’s all about that Bass, no trouble Mr Game Warden! Congrats on the catch!
Way to be a responsible fisherman!😂
in an aquarium they eat mostly algae waffers and some shrimp pellets. i could see them eating a small worm in the wild but youre going to need to let it sit a long time and let them find the bait. they are perfectly happy just sitting in one place and feeding until the spot is clean. if you could figure out how to rig some lettuce or spinach would be your best bet.
They weren’t into the worm even a little bit, I’ll have to try spinach or an algae wafer next time
Keep going .. only way to learn to fish... dont give up...
Trust me I won’t, plecos are hard to target because they don’t typically eat any kinds of bait, I looked it up afterwards and most people just try snagging them with weighted trebles
First-time ever fishing, for them, for you.
I did some research after and they basically don’t go for anything so you just need to treble snag them
I'm by the great lakes. I don't know anything about saltwater fishing, just fresh water fishing
Same, those are aquarium fish though, they mostly show up in places because they get too big for peoples aquariums so they put it in a local body of water which is super harmful to the local species
They must be vegan. 😂
hey man good catches next time you go try a 2 hook bottom rig with a 2oz pyrimid sinker and 2 hooks a little bigger than you use for crappie cut a shrimp into a couple small parts and drop it down 8-12" from the pier pylons and for artificial try a 1/2-3/8 oz white bucktail jig put a squid strip on it to look like a tail. 2 of the better ways to get a nice drum
I will 100% do this text time, thanks for the info my dude this is some good stuff
@@Jellus4u what hes explaining for the bottom rig should be similar to a flounder rig or carolina rig ( not sure if its specific to the carolinas). Also, in the carolinas youre not going to catch slot drum off a pier at all. Go to the sound side of whatever island you're on and look for where the tide comes in and out from the marsh. There should be a distinct area almost looking like a small river bed. When high tide peaks, fish the edge of it. Always remember the fish know their home better than you or I ever will. Theyll tell you where they are. Fall and spring* are the best times to get lucky. Coldish water=hungry fish that are preparing to not eat for a while. Good luck my nigga!
Lmao noted, thank you my man
@@awichita12 born and raised in NC at the coast been fishing since before my first birthday you will absolutely catch slot drum from piers
Salt water 🔥🔥🔥
I underestimated how strong they are
Backlash on camera just goes to show that it happens to everybody even the seasoned vets😂 that tilapia was a jumbo that buggy whip rod helps detect your strikes along with the braid and adds to the fun of the fight nice work a boga grip works good for those tilapia
It’s addicting on that setup
@Jellus4u that's exactly how I would describe it too it turns an average fish into something to work with keep it up man your doin just fine
@@robbubba8020 Thanks you bro I appreciate that:) I caught something recently on that setup that I can't wait to post, it's my new freshwater PR so far
@Jellus4u thanks for the content no yelling no hype just catchin fish

Me encanta este video. Buenas imagenes, buena informacion y muy corto. Muy bien hecho.
This is fantastic, keep it simple! Great explanations. Other channels make fishing way too complicated, its really not that hard.. well done
Thank you :)
For @yasinozkaran4417
Nice catches!
😮I can’t believe how many comments I made, lol, sorry not sorry. My favorite video so far. Sorry it wasn’t more successful catch wise but your editing made it fun to watch!
I’m glad you like it! Dw I’m always okay with a lot of comments
😂 26:40 cracking me up
The shot of the bass was awesome!
What was the time stamp? I’m not sure I got one this video
Jer, you got some gater bait?
The birds knew to hang around you two to get snacks. 😂
I need a translator for when you go with your Dad.
The little fish felt your sarcasm and ✌'d out.
Hello! Next time try Ukrainian jig lures “Crasy fish”. They have really cool lures and also rods. Also they have lures that perfectly for wacky and bass fishing
I’ll check them out
Hi , I am a beginner. Can I ask you a question? Can you tell me how to choose the jighead weight?
I would love to! Summary: Not too heavy and not too light, an easy way to check is just matching a jig head that looks like it could fit on the soft plastic if it was a real animal, and with the hook sticking out 1/2 to 2/3 down the body. Make sure the jig doesn’t distort the soft plastic in any way and try to hook it as perfectly as possible every time for the best action. Long version: It depends on what lure you’re using, if it’s something with a specialized tail movement like a ‘curly tail’ or a ‘paddle tail’, your weight needs to be heavy enough for it to weigh the lure down so the tail can move nicely. A too heavy of a jig head will make it go too fast and ruin the point of having that specialized movement. You want your jig head to be heavy enough to make the tail move well, but not light enough to where it looks like a piece of plastic drifting down. You’re going to want the hook to be sticking out about 2/3 down the body, (this is a personal preference but I find fish bite the back half of the lures most of the time). I wouldn’t stress that part too much, just make sure the jig head looks like it would fit on the soft plastic as if it was a real animal so it looks natural as possible, and that the hook is sticking out at least a little tiny bit past 1/3 of the body. Try to avoid distorting the shape of the soft plastic as well, like if the jig head has a piece off the back that pushes in that it isn’t so big that it rips the lure. Try to rig it as straight as you can as well because it affects how the lure moves in the water. This is a lot of info and I think I may just have to make a video for you lmao and sorry for the essay but this should put you in a good place. Feel free to ask as many questions as you like, I’m always happy to answer
Ignore that I’m making you a video lmao
“I don’t know the names man I just fish” same here as for a lot of fishermen, I have 100+ lures and know how they work and what to use them for but don’t know the name of half of them
