Ive never seen a HST. Im nearly 15, and only got into trainspotting 2 years ago and live in the south east so I never really got a chance to ever see one

Never been to Skegness in my life. Im 56 so butlins was the thing back then. So filey was our chosen destination for holidays being from Newcastle 😂. Loving the video though

Why do most of our rail companies keep buying crappy alstom or Hitachi trains with no level access, whereas swiss company stadler are level boarding well done greater Anglia.(pity you never got them for your London commuter routes)

The train to Leeds from Bradford is not that good anymore. When the strikes started NT staff walked people to the X6 bus stop and since then the X6 has been increased to every 10 mins from every 20 minutes and the train is £8.40 anytime return and the bus is £2 single fare and they run all night now.

As a regular commuter on these trains I find them comfortable but then not comfortable in some ways

I've had four recent trips on xc 1st class. Most I got was cup of tea and thin slice of fruit cake. No crisps,no food and no water/soft drinks

The Subway or, sometimes, the tube - third oldest in the World and just an awesome wee transit option to be proud of.

Glasgow is so well served for trains, it's just a shame with any new development there's not the same need to create a station. Pollokshields West was my train stop getting back from school as it was about 2 mins walk to home. I'm that old, in my 50s, that I remember the old ticket stations, the station master, and at that point it was the old fashioned tickets too.

I’d love to see Cross Country doing a (direct) SailRail only service from Hull, Leeds, Manchester Victoria to Holyhead, timed to meet ferry check in times at Holyhead and ferry arrivals from Dublin - I’m not that bothered about first class, express or limited stop services, the important thing would be that it would have to be direct without the need to change trains enroute, which is so inconvenient and annoying - this innovative change could be a really viable alternative to flying and air travel across the Irish Sea - it could even have some references to Ireland or crossing the Irish Sea 🇮🇪☘️🇬🇧❤️🙏

In a word, No! Not unless your build is a bit less than "average." It's also very claustrophobic - and ridiculously expensive, seeing as the fare includes no meals, and only very basic service. They do use comfortable mattresses and lovely soft pillows - and everything is spotless and very well presented; but both cabins and corrdors are extremely narrow and anyone of a larger build, will struggle to pass through them.

I travelled with old stock many years ago the price was not cheap then meals were so so nothing compared to continental but heyho that's life
