The questions at the back of mind revolve around risks of unintended consequences in manipulating complex biological systems.
Very informative but I agree with @stevelenores5637.
The way to do this efficiently is not to mine ore and bring the ore to earth. You bring the whole mining, smelting, and refining process to each asteroid. Get only what is valuable and move on to the next asteroid. Only refined materials should be returned for manufacturing. Saves energy and time. Initial cost is more but long term cost is lower. For example you don't need iron, carbon, silicon, or rock. Earth has plenty already. Hulling these back is just plain stupid.
Spot on,space asteroid mining can be optimized by processing resources directly in space, offering key advantages: Energy efficiency by eliminating transportation costs, selective extraction of rare materials, technological innovation in space robotics, long-term economic sustainability, and minimal environmental disruption. This approach transforms space from a mere resource source to an interconnected industrial ecosystem, focusing on high-value materials while avoiding unnecessary transportation of common elements.👍👍👍👍
👍👍👍
Current terrestrial resource extraction devastates ecosystems, triggers geopolitical conflicts, and causes widespread environmental destruction. Space-based resource extraction offers a revolutionary alternative by moving industrial processes off-planet, preventing environmental damage, reducing territorial disputes, and creating a sustainable, conflict-free approach to resource management. By harvesting minerals from asteroids, we can eliminate the ecological and humanitarian costs of traditional mining, potentially transforming global resource economics and fostering international collaboration through technological innovation. Based on this i don't think exploring iron, carbon, silicon or rock on space will be a stupid idea.
Future is bright with technology advancement.
wow 🙋♀💕
I came across your channel a few days ago, and I want to appreciate the information you are sharing about technology. Keep up the good work! I would be glad to support your channel.👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍💯💵
