If you’re in the Deep River area you should definitely check out the cross country ski trails! There are so many, so it will be fun whether or not you’re a beginner or advanced! There is a chalet that is heated by volunteers and also a few snow shoe trails, if you’re not into skiing. ⛷️ It’s a great excuse to get out amongst the trees, which look like a winter wonderland right now. 🥰❄️ Happy Lu...

This is a great hike to do that I originally found on the @alltrails app! I went last spring, but I had never done the trail in the winter before. It can be slippery in spots. It is a short trail- about 1.3 km round trip. Head on over to The Sands on Golden Lake for some coffee, tea or food afterwards! This trail is on the corner of Tramore rd and Kilby rd in Deacon Ontario. Let me know if you ...

@@kyliemoore9013 Is it?!! I don’t play, but does it sound like that?:)
I love the sound of snow being walked on! ❤
@@Therealblazinteg So crunchy!!😁🥰👌❄️
I’m all for being in the forest for that reason and all the other benefits, but why call it “forest bathing”, instead of just spending time in the forest? Maybe it’s just everything else being renamed or rediscovered by TikTokers but it just sounds a bit obnoxious/pretentious to me. No hate, just the feeling I got from first hearing it in this short.
@@bridgeburner_14 Hey! No worries. I’m just using the official Japanese term Shinrin- Yoku, translated into: Forest Bathing. It is believed that they were the first to learn the benefits. Thanks for asking. I’m the opposite of pretentious. Ha ha. I hope you stick around to see. ☺️🙏 You can also call it “going into the bush to be with trees”. 🌲👌😁 Anything works!
@ that makes me feel better knowing it is the translation of the official Japanese name, and not just being called that because Gen Z is obsessed with coming up with trendy new names for things, or something like that.
@ Ha ha. Definitely not. ☺️ And I’m one of those millennials. 😜

@@Purewater-w4p Exactly right!!🥰🙏💚💚💚 Couldn’t agree more.
The benefit it real! I had a triggering experience today, and I was able to pull through by working in my garden with friend. Not the same as being in the forest, but being present with nature is incredible helpful tool.
@@ilahjarvis gardening also really helps! Grounding is also proven to have many benefits. I’m glad you were able to do something that helped. 🙏😮💨☺️ 🪴
Those parts of Canada are lovely little ribbons of forest beside the roads.
