Perhaps black vinyl electrical tape applied to chrome bezel would work to knock the shine off.

The Honda cub bikes are officially classed as motorcycles not scooters, scooters are twist and go with CVT transmission.

I do like a Super Cub, 1 bike i rode on waste land as a little lad was a C90! so always had a soft spot for these. But i ended up buying a SH300 just incase i wanted to go on faster roads, although i rarely go faster than 60mph anyway. I get high 80s mpg, doing same calculation as you M/L*4.546

How do you recover from a death wobble?

Anything that lifts the front or raises the back could be the cause and the first thing I would check is if you have too much preload dialed in on the rear suspension. That wasn't quite a death wobble, but it was definitely unstable. I have accidently incited a death wobble (the violent variety) on a bike almost exactly like this (Kymco Like 200i) and it's easy to do, because of the rake and trail of the bike simply by accelerating too quickly with too much preload dialed in for the amount of weight on the bike. Even a slight bump can cause it to lose its mind. If you can, I would take some preload away. You windscreen might affect it, but only because the suspension is not set correctly.

Nope. You'd get that effect behind a lorry, vortex shedding but not behind cars. There's likely a problem with the bike.

Try getting a real motorcycle with some weight to stabilize you....

I weigh 180 pounds and I have a 65 L locking box that’s waterproof and it’s not very arrow dynamic and I think that’s why I think I’ve gone 65 as a max speed going downhill, but I would rather have the box then have a higher top speed love that box

For the vibrating chrome piece, I think there's a few options. Beeswax, hot glue, or Blu Tack is a non-permanent option. Water-sealing caulk may be a permanent one.
