@@clarepowell2634 i was not sure so i sent and checked a dependable buggy and it has a cheap battery from amazon..it is a Weize YTX7-BS 12 6.5h

@@clarepowell2634 the second buggy i checked has a 100.00 battery from the local battery store. It is a STRIKER. STX9. 12V8AH

@@thebuggyfarm4300 I bought one like this from farm and fleet and it worked for a while. I think the battery got shaken to death. I bought it 3 months ago and it has gone bad. won't charge while the buggy is running. My Maxxam 150cc runs great even though there has been literally no maintainance on it. The fuse has blown so many times and the batteries just keep loosing voltage until it dies at idle with the voltage dropping to 5.5 volts. the ground wire from the battery is good. Something is messed up. Any ideas? I checked all the wire for corrosion and tested the rectifier, cdi, stator, and ignition coil and switches. Its weird. It runs for about 30-45mins after I jump it with my tractor. I even jumped it off my daughter old power wheels battery. Bad luck with batteries?

@@clarepowell2634 i buy and sell alot of buggies i bought probably 35 batteries last year...most leave soon after. I buy them.i do have a huge pile of. Bad batteries i have been. Gonna try a lithium battery just have not done it.

@@dannyrobinson9351 i love the way a razor seat sits..it will require a little fabrication..i have seat boat seats from tsc that look nice in a buggy.i haven't tried them tho

I am having difficulty with make and model identification because the buggy was painted completely black, and the engine was removed before I got the buggy

I use an attachment for my drill.and or grinders

That is the worst rattle can paint that I have ever used..your finger would smudge it a week later

@thebuggyfarm4300 I think the previous owner used a grinder to cut off almost all of the panels. The only sheet metal left on it is the floor pan. The fenders and fender brackets are gone, too. The tubing is all still there

@thebuggyfarm4300 I finally got back to my buggy just now, and thanks to you, I found the ID! It was behind my aftermarket seat, and someone had painted over it so that it was really hard to see, but I was able to make out the letters. My buggy does not have that sheet metal panel like your buggies do. It looks like someone took the center strip of the plate in your video with the ID number, then cut out the sheet metal, then rewelded just the ID number strip to a piece of tubing behind the seat. Thank you! Do you know how to use the ID number to look up the year, model, or displacement of the buggy?

They have a number on the cross bar behind your shoulder..but it is not a vin..

You can spend all you want..if you fix what is broke and replace with oem quality parts they are cheap. .. High performance parts get pricey
