BROWN NOISE - "FOCUS & CONCENTRATION" with Dr. Andrew Huberman
Dr. Huberman mentioned listening to brown noise can boost your focus and concentration while you're working hard.
The idea is that brown noise helps sharpen the brain's filtering mechanism - its ability to tamp down distracting information and to sharpen what you're trying to pay attention to.
Brown noise is a deep sound with more of a bass tone and less of a hiss than white noise. Brown noise plays low-frequency sounds and omits high-frequency sounds like white noise, making it smoother and more manageable for some individuals.

WHITE NOISE - "FOCUS & CONCENTRATION" with Dr. Andrew Huberman
Переглядів 13914 днів тому
Dr. Huberman mentioned listening to white noise can boost your focus, memory, and concentration while you're working hard. White noise is a type of sound that contains all frequencies within the range of human hearing (typically 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz) at equal intensity. This makes it similar to the concept of white light, which contains all the wavelengths of visible light at equal intensity.

The thing is this: When you detour I can see the detour. I have no idea how you still pull it off, but the detour can be seen.

This is what I've noticed the most from watching Asi. Especially during card selections. In contrast to Danny DaOrtiz who stated he always has a plan and never improvises, even though he makes it appear so. Yet they appear to share some similarities in methods.

Unfortunately the test he’s doing has too much variability and therefore not a reliable measure. Also note, despite his well-meaning ways to offer free advice, he is not a practitioner. He’s a scientist who speaks from reading papers. If you really want to change your breathing for your life, be cautious of “free” information…..it often is well-meaning but incredibly misguided. Seek good guidance from someone who has worked with lots of people in their lane of experience…..not this guy.

Is it even possible to split breathing in 4 equal timed phases? And what's the use of that? Feels very unatural.

I do the same with my high school students. I just say nothing when they are rude to me because I don't want to give them the power to have control over my emotions. When they are calm, then I talk about it.

Naps are good if they add to your regular sleep. They are bad, or at best neutral, if they just move your regular sleep around.
