thanks for reply mate , sorted power out lead going with a 600mw tx and a 1200tvl fpv camera what range do you think id get if you know mate with omni direction antenna on instead of 5.8 dipole roughly cheers
Range has always been an issue. With directional antenna I could get reliable 120 yards maybe on 200mw tx with 5.8 gig. I switched to 1.2 gig and using dipole it's not much better. I need to try directional on my 1.2 system but can live with a good 100 yard range 😅👍
where do you get the power lead to go in the microcat power out slot ?
Just a standard phono to phono mate, I just used a phono plug on my gubbins box on the boat to make it easy.

Getting that kind of range is going to difficult. You could try using FM transmitter and receiver rather than 5.8 GHz or 1.2 GHz. Search some forums. Mines only good to 100m or so but does the job 👍

how many mW transmitter are you using, I'm having problems with the range of my 300mW transmitter with tbs triumph antenna's. at 30/40 meters it's starts flickering. the antenna is 20cm above the water.
Team Nootdorp was 200mw, range not brilliant but good enough for 120 yards, as far as I'll ever fish! Actually got a 1.2ghz system these days and range isn't that much better surprisingly, but more reliable. Decent antennae would probably help a lot 🙂

Team Nootdorp not really sure, but common knowledge that water attenuates signal badly. With my 5.8ghz 200mw was using cloverleaf antenna and much better than the standard dipole. Some of the guys are using 600/800mw transmitters but I got far enough for my needs on 200mw. Also try receiver on highest mount you can get away with. I had my receiver/monitor on a long storm pole, which helped.
I would want to buy here in the USA. I've got several cameras that can do IR and regular light. If I could match my cameras with your transmitter system. I've wrote to Fish EyE and for some reason they are not bothering to write me back. I guess they must have too much business in the U.K. Or just don't give a crap about selling to others outside the U.K. Like me here here in the USA where Carp fishing, Bait Boat using is unknown and I'm apparently the only American who found this type of fishing and have really liked it. I proved my catches tremendously with ALL types of fish. I have two JABO 5CG boats and an HYZ-100G single hull boat with four top mounted hoppers. They also make a dual hull style with two recessed hoppers and two rear top hoppers. Tried Eagle, but they use magnetic held recessed hoppers and either I got a defective one, or the design is poor. First time with about half bait limit in hoppers. The hoppers opened up as INWAS putting it into the water spilling bait all over the shoreline. They told me I was wrong. I made a video to show them. They still said I was wrong. I said I want my money back. And all of this adds up to my desire to by English made gear, but not one U.K. Based company has even bothered to respond to my purchase requests. What's up with that?
Neal Van I'm just a hobbyist buddy not a business. Why not have a go at your own? Cheap 2.4ghz FPV 200mw transmitter will get you 100 yards with clover leaf antenna. I actually made a system up with 1.2ghz fpv gear bought from readymaderc (US company) and tested out to 150 - 170 yards. Not hard to build components into a project box. Getting a good camera is hardest bit so if you have that already you're onto a winner.
Well the women were more interested in other stuff and didn't even notice me. That little person was loud and scared the bejesus out of me although I tried not to show it... The pet food was absolutely crap. I'm off... Not much doin here...

16vastraturbo crikey loads of places really. Must've bought half dozen lipstick cameras off eBay the same - 4 are shite, 1 is ok'ish and 1 is good lol it's a mine field. FPV gear you can buy from hobbyking, banggood etc. I'm actually using a 1.2ghz system at moment from readymaderc in the US. Get much better range than the 2.4ghz stuff. Tested out to about 170/180 yards the other day. Used to think fish eye bloke was rip off, but I will admit his systems certainly appear professionally made. Get yourself some components and get playing. There's not that much to it. My biggest issue is that I use a Microcat so everything on boat is sealed and camera has to be made in a 'bolt on' stylee lol

oh yea, mine sleeping in my bed with me and my two Pitbull doggies .my son who is 3 years old loves him... it's someone's pet, was hand fed, and ran away, a non pet/non handled pigeon would never step inside so casually, it was checking to see if the bowls on floor had food made for him, casually strolling.. very nice gentle animals, great great great pets.

ha ha man that's crazy! pigeon are considered vermin in some parts of UK although the one that visited us was obviously a racing pigeon therfore well looked after 🙂
racing pigeons are slender imo, but it might have been lost and looking for human contact. pigeon loft isn't same act as a single pet pigeon, lofters usually won't seek out connection because they have mates and friends pigeons:) very cool

sorry for delay, yes camera is bangood fpv camera specific for x5. ok for close range work but drops out at any distance. was cheap :)
