Hello! I have a chord quetest dac ,, should i get the Aurender n100/n150 or should i swap my dac for Aurender a10? :) I use burmester rsystem and feel like my dac is the weakest link. Is the A10 dac better then Chord?

I sold audio back in the late 70's, and early 80's in Atlanta. Wish we had been able to sell Yamaha, but the best I could do was JBL/Pioneer. To make this a truly fair comparison/test, I would want to rebuild the crossovers in the Yamaha's before the test was done. Old electronic components versus new electronic components is really not a fair comparison. GR-Research just did a crossover kit for a version of the Yamaha, and I would want to have the Yamahas rebuilt, to be fair. I DO like the Jades, but I think that you should at least compare new crossovers to new crossovers. I have subscribed to your channel, and will be anxious to view your content. Thanks...Rip

I'll tell you with the little be but of dislike of klipsch product speakers they make pretty darn good speakers with solid craftsmanship from years of quality made materials they are still beloved regardless of the latest trend of speaker line out there that coming from other places that maybe good and all but klipsch is still going on strong and will for years to come or else they wouldn't be in business still.

Please make a video about burmester 032 :) This is the Diablo biggest competitor.

I think making a fine mesh grill which was mostly transparent would be a good idea, though personally because I'm a klutz I do keep the grills on except for when I'm planning to have someone over then I care more about the look.

An excellent design, but expensive to manufacture. For example, the power supply is at the rear and the pre amplifier is at the front, which a large, heavy, metal shield in the middle of the cabinet to separate the two. Exactly the same result can be achieved by simply having an external power supply, feeding pure DC into the preamplifier itself. Then, for someone who only ever intends to use a MM cartridge, they will be buying a lot of unnecessary additional technology. I have tried a great many phono preamplifiers and I consider that the basic Project Phono MM pre amplifier is as good as any. It uses two stages, just as this one does, an FET stage to connect to the cartridge, with all of its advantages and then a regular op amp for the main gain. It has one of the best RIAA equalisation curves of any phono pre amplifier. If you can find one of the early models, with AC input, then it is preferable, since the DC version uses an internal DC to DC converter to produce the -ve supply, which can introduce some hash and noise. It costs about £35. I have compared it with an EAR 834 valve stage and consider it superior.

Nice review. I have the RP-600m II, and mostly agree. The best thing with this Klipsch Reference Premiere line is that the clarity and detail is there, so if you are treble sensitive the high frequencies will simply be being reduced to your comfort level via EQ, and not boosted (and thus not pushed to distortion attempting to reveal details other speakers cannot do). The mids and staging are otherwise quite good on these, but there is also 2 things about the sound that are very special like this reviewer mentioned. 1. They are FUN without throwing out their hi-fi credentials. 2. They have low enough distortion to truly sound alive and [mostly] transparent in presenting a particular recording's timbre with acoustic music like jazz, classical or ambient, yet their dynamics will totally kick your ass with rock and EDM. I really like them. They have character, and it's a high quality and fun one.

7:25 they don't have a characteristic tube amps sound.. this the problem with commercially produced tube amps. They apply global negative feedback to keep the THD % as low as possible, because this looks good on the sales brocher and very appealing to naive commercial tube amp buyers. However, it kills the classic tube sound of warmth, organics, and weight in the music. Also, they use the cheapest and crappiest new production tubes possible.

All made in China. They don’t tell you that. The remote is awful. In this price range you would think that they could produce a remote that is functional.

Because of your review, I bought a pair of Opticon 6s. WOW! WOW! WOW!! I had the superb Oberon 5s. I did not expect it, but the difference is massive. Superb speakers!!!

You can never replace Aurender (any model) with your Apple products as audio streaming transport! Comparing Apple products to an audiophile brand like Aurender is irrelevant. Apple is NOT an audiophile audio specialty company but just an electronic company. In my Hi-Fi setup, 3 iPads are the only Apple products used as display remotes.

Most "audiophiles" buy speakers ...then buy music they don't like to get the most out of the speakers. Makes no sense. Im all about broadening your horizens but not just to hear the spit coming out the singers mouth or them turning the pages of the lyrics while their singing. I would rather save some cash and get the model that gives you real world, everyday performance for things your do everyday...like watch TV, Play video games, and listen to low quality streaming music since physical media isn't as hot as it once was even though it's making a huge comeback. I know Im not running out and buying a record player and a bunch of albums from artist I don't really care for the music just to hear the shining parts of my speakers.
