Correct, it is the russian B-system, but Harry Geuns makes instruments also with C-system.

@@acmusic5258 Thanks! I thought I recognised the "bottom to top" left hand, but I wasn't sure. I like that "mirrored" way of the eastern layouts, it's kind of one keyboard extended across both sides- seems intuitive to me! But then it's the only CBA layout I've played 🙃 It's the B system I'm most familiar with. I own a cheap bayan that I bought in Ukraine, but it's the bandoneon that truly owns my heart... In fact, the reason bought the bayan is because it's the accordion that sounds most like a bandoneon in its tonal quality... (And they're much less expensive). This instrument you're playing is pretty much my dream instrument I think! Maybe one day I will save up the cash to get one... 😅. Your videos are a good advertisement for them for sure!

@@acmusic5258 I like the idea of being able to play both instruments: bayan and bandoneon, using a similar system. I have briefly played a traditional tango bandoneon layout, years ago, and while I loved the sound, the layout was very difficult! And so maybe I can practice on my rickety old bayan for now, to later transfer to the bandoneon if and when I purchase one of these beautiful instruments! I only recently discovered that such a thing even exists, and I'm quite excited by the possibility this opens up... I like the bayan too, but it's so huge and heavy and unwieldy! Bandoneons are a bit more of an intimate and delicate instrument to play I think... And the sound is unparalleled. Do you know any other bandoneon players who use this system, or are you a lone wolf? 😁 Did you transfer from the button accordion to this system? Or just choose it from the beginning because you thought it seemed like a logical layout? Sorry for so many questions! I'm just really excited about discovering the existence of this instrument, and happy to find your videos 😅

@@Muzikman127 Hi muzikman. Thanks a lot for liking my videos. Try to answer your questions: I learned on bayan system from the beginning und got professional bayan player. Already a long time I love the bandoneon, but the original system is very complicated even for professionalists. By accident I found an interview with Harry Geuns about the hybride system in a journal, I searched for him in the www, met him, saved money, and ordered a hybrid bandoneon. I am very happy with this instrument, The buttons are on the same places as I am used to, the sound is really bandoneon-like. There are a few other "hybridists", you find them on youtube.

@@acmusic5258 coming back to your videos again, I am still impressed by both your instrument and your playing. I am going to start saving for one of mr Geuns' wonderful instruments! (Though it may take some time). I think I will also pursue the "bayan" system. Best wishes!
