The DE-BIAS capacity building event included a presentation of the project, a roundtable with participants of previous DE-BIAS events, and an interactive session with focus on the recommendations. By giving the floor to representatives from the communities, Digital Humanities domain and CHIs, with whom DE-BIAS had engaged throughout the project, and by allowing for enough time for the audience to interact with the presenters and each other, this session aimed to pave the way to a wider discussion on bias in GLAM collections and thus create impact in terms of raising awareness on the relevance of the theme of bias for contemporary society. The target audience was accordingly broad and composed of cultural heritage professionals, aggregators, research and socio-cultural end-user communities, policy makers, and communities potentially exposed to bias.
