Growing up, I always loved these two more like siblings, with Grandpa Max being more like their father. Since throughout the series, we don’t see much of Ben’s parents, along with Gwen’s & her brother Ken, since they are only one time characters. With Grandpa Max & Gwen being the only family members of Ben we only seen throughout the years. And Kevin, despite being his future cousin in law, who is more like his brother in law.

Kevin really had the best character development. He and Ben went from friends at the very beginning, to enemies, to friends again, to brothers. :) 💖 Edit: Ben: "It strikes fear into my enemies." Kevin: "You go right on believing that, bud." That's one of my favorite moments. 😂😂

Honestly, their designs sucked in those two reboots. Ben's iconic black and white T shirt was gone and Gwen dressed like she's going to work like an adult, not a teen girl exploring her fashion options. Honestly, if they wanted to keep her outfit simple for animation purposes, they should at least gone with Y2K type of fashion, the type Winx Club loved to put out back in season 1. Techna's outfits style would have looked lovely on her.

True character development. They started off as friends, turned into enemies, then years later as teenagers/young adults they become friends again and their friendship is stronger than ever! …Then they become enemies again in Ultimate Alien.
