New upgrade from a presto canner, well worth the upgrade
Great video, easy to understand. I also subscribed, Brother!
What is the name of the “good coax”? No links….
@@dag36523 Messi & Paoloni is top line coax, there are other brands that are also good, each manufacturer should have a chart with the specs
👍
Great video. Agree with everything. One thing I would add. Folks, when you install the antenna, look for a "sweet spot". The antenna won't work the same when installed in different places. A few inches can make all the difference. For example, take a crappy HT like a Baofeng, tune it off by 5-10 MHz from your repeater, and move around. When the signal starts coming through, that's your potential spot to install the antenna. In my experience, it will also coincide with a lower SWR.
Also, don't think that the biggest antenna is always the best one. Your setup is intended not only to transmit, but also to receive. Bigger antennas have a tendency to overload the RX capability of your rig, especially if it's a budget direct conversion rig. You probably won't have such a problem with a superhet rig like the KG-1000G, but still. Experiment with different antennas. You might be surprised that a short 1/4 or 5/8 wavelength antenna might work better than a long 5/8 over 5/8 one.
Are the wouxun power supplies good to keep in the house for the kg1000g? Also, could you make a video on grounding? I understand I need a radio, power supply, antenna, coax. I just doing know how to actually hook everything up and the idea of knowing how to “ground” a radio intimidates me to be honest.
@@kaynenbrown5102 yes the power supply is safe
@@Thomas-ZETawesome! Maybe you can make a video on how to set up the antenna. I trying to start a base station.
Well done video thank you for posting this information. 👍 PS. Where did you get the alien? 👽
Home Depot years ago
Thank you!
Is that a large freeze dryer? Just curious because I've got one ordered. I've been reading mixed reviews of the uline carts when used with freeze dryers, so just curious how the cart is holding up? I was planning to buy a harbour freight cart like youtuber 'Retired at 40- Live.Life.Simple' has, but they don't ship to Canada unfortunately.
This is the small one, it is holding up very well, I will have to do an updated video. That’s to bad Harbor Freight won’t ship to Canada, Their loss. Enjoy and welcome to freeze drying.
What are the dimensions on the cart ?
L 44”-W 25”x H 33”
This was exactly what I was looking for- thank you!
How easy is it to transport (move around the cart)? I need to move my cart (into a corner) when Freeze Dryer is not in use. Do those wheels make it hard or easy to manuever the cart? Or should i get 4 swivel wheels? Thanks
Very easy to move around, only two wheels swivel and still easy to move
