WORLD RECORD Astro Bot 2024 Any% Speedrun (PS5)
After 2 months and 500 in-game hours, I have finally secured my first World Record in this category. I have been devoting all my free time and efforts into routing, strat hunting, and practice, but even so I have always been a few minutes behind the current WR. So I am thrilled to finally have made it here.
There certainly can still be improvements, although it's getting incredibly hard at this point. I had 5 big blunders that included Go Go Clip, 2 deaths on Dude Raiding, Hiero Skip, and not getting the fast clean glitch for the Crash Site #5 PS5 Panel cleaning. As well as 20-30 small blunders (such as getting caught on something on the floor and losing sprint speed) that each lost maybe a couple seconds. So over a minute lost due to big blunders, and about another minute or two to dozens of small blunders.
I'm gonna try to still improve this since I'm still having a blast with this run, but with LEGO Horizon Adventures coming out this week, I'm not sure where I want to dedicate my speedrunning focuses. Regardless, I think I am capable of pulling of a 2:07 in my current state, but time will tell if I achieve this.
