Honest to god feel bad for the Definitive Edition. It adds some new cutscenes and secrets, makes Lisa the Painful/Joyful playable on consoles, it gets the job done. But the fans pushed the games so far in terms of QoL changes, sprite art/presentation, and gameplay that makes it kinda lackluster in comparison. Deadass, Desolate Expanse years ago added more than the Definitive Edition.

@@ajgameguy3674 For me, if they wanted to call this say "LISA: The Console Edition" or some tawdry thing like that, I wouldn't have been so disappointed. Thing is, they hyped this as LISA being "completed" and it being a "definitive edition". New content's alright, but as you said it falls very short of being satisfying due to the community's outperformance. I'm not even sure what an HD update for LISA was supposed to mean considering that the update's graphical quality is practically indistinguishable from the OG.

@@Princedukedandycorn The only thing that feels HD is the battle backgrounds. The only thing that feels updated visually. Though, with all that in mind, I can at least give Austin and Serenity Forge some points for not pulling a Nintendo/Rockstar and Cease & Desisting any fan expansions/updates to Lisa the Painful when DE came around. If they did, they would've got fucking blitzed.

@@Beltboy im 7 months late but he actually can't say anything in a voice related to the stanley parable, i remember wanting to see if he could say something for a video i was working on and he reached out to me and said that he can't voice anything related to stanley but he can voice something in a similar voice.
