I'm quite new to scything and I'm surprised that the bevel seems on the upside/backside of the blade, not the downside/frontside - Is this normal?

Dad Level: Master. It's like a baby swing, but with fresh air and the lovely scent of fresh cut grass....

I know this process is harder than using a lawn mower but the scythe doesn't tear up the grass. The other good things happening for this hardworking man is he doesn't have to do the following : 1). Pay for gas, 2). No loud noises from the lawn mower. 3). No lugging around a big machine. 4). No machine to be stolen. 5). No cranky neighbors. Well done job Sir !!!!
