You can pull the bumper and grill off in like 10 min then you have full access to the lights. I’ve done it a few times and it’s a lot easier

I got a pair of cheap fog like housing on amazon and replaced the original because of that damn shield. Now my fog lights are super bright without that light shield inside. Just make sure to point the LED bulbs down so you dont bling people👍🏼

Sensor part number for 2016 Tahoe 5.3 engine TX89 at O'Rielley's about 15.00. That's what I paid. May fit a year range of 2014 to 2017 at least and may be compatible for those year models of GM Yukon's, Sierras, and Silverado with same engines. Check and verify to be sure though.

My follow up to sensor replacement. Author of the video is correct in tools needed, Just completed my sensor replacement 6 Apr 24. Be sure to d/c the battery as it clears the computer memory from kicking the fans on to full blast. My part for 2016 Tahoe LTZ 4x4 was 15.00 bucks at O'Rielleys. A screw driver and needle nose pliers work best 4 my unlocking sensor clip. Finger on sensor hole is a must. System is under pressure. Be sure engine is COLD!! and place wrag around sensor base. I used index finger tip pressure to finalize seating the new sensor. Make sure lock tabs face front of engine before connecting the wiring connection. Secure all components and engine area is clear of tools and battery negative cable is tight before starting engine. Start engine and check for leaks and monitor temp Gauge. You might notice a slight change in where it was sitting before sensor replacement. That's an indication that it received the electrical current to operate.
