David Nordgård huge crash Mettet 2017.
After a DNS in one of the heats and 0 points it was not easy to win back the semi. After a little luck and herioc mechanics, he qualified 12th and started last in semi 2. It was all or nothing.

First proper racetest of the newly modified Touringcar Fiesta. Upgraded from 2.0 naturally aspirated to 2.0 Turbo. Some vital things missing here, like antilag and some boost. But next time it will be even better and easier to drive.

Rett å slett en nasjonal tragedie,att denne banen ble lagt ned,på linje m mange andre baner,dette var en folkefest,og har potensiale til å blitt en kjempegreie,på linje m Høljes,ei ukes motorfestivalm gokart bakke,gateløp roadracing i Drammen🚩🏁🏁🏁,når det nå har blitt slik,,og ingen tar opp tråden 🎆🎊🏆 lagd en festival m folkrace/bilcross,på Finnskogbanen,,racing på våler på 2 og 4,bakke i kongsvinger,,🚕🏎🏍,, bygd ut Finnskogbanen til vm,tenk for en kort reise mellom høljes,og finnskbanen,!Det er motoranl som alltid er i hardt vær,,,RCC romerike bygde ut Nordbymoen kartring,på Jesheim,og ble Noreuropas lengste gokartbane da,Lå inne i en travbane,etter noen år uten problem m naboer,begynte d å selges tomter rundt travbanen,de ny ank beg å klage banen ble lagt ned,ISI banenen i bærum v skui,en kjempeflott crossbane,lagt ned til fordel for søppelplass ,og Brånåsdalen,kanskje tøffeste,og hardeste crossbanen vi har hatt,lagt ned til fordel for boligfelt,,,og slik går det Tåler man ikke lyd,følg m på hvor man bosetter seg,,unngå flyplasser,,motoranlegg,,fotballbaner ,steder m mange hunder,trafikerte veier,,,Jeg vet en klager som var på i mange år,uten å si hva hvor,,fikk til slutt innst lydmåler inne i huset,,denne påviste høyer db fra allmen vei en fra målet for klagene,,,Jeg vet att fler annl ble brukt til annet som fyllpl,tomter etc,,🚜🏘🛖⛲,Men vil tro det gjør det lettere å legge om driften på steder som mange hårsåre har klaga på i utgpkt..... Just to come in late to this one. The track that Martin was racing still had dirt corners - so the Mabbs Bank corner and Chessons. During the evolutional of the track during Pat Dorans ownership, year by year both of these have gone to tarmac. You can see it clearly around the inside at Chessons with Petter. Shame really, as that was the attraction of Rallycross - dirt vs tarmac.

Das ist doch nicht Martin Schanche. Der sah 1985 schon alt aus.
Nein, es ist David Nordgård, der seit 1996 Martins letzten Ford fährt. Dieser wurde 2018 gedreht. Das Auto wurde bis 2015 gelagert und David und das Team haben es zu ihrem vorherigen Glamour aufgebaut.
O. K. Weil auf dem Helm der falsche Name steht, ich dachte das bringt Unglück. Ich habe Mr. Rallycross fahren sehen in den späten 80er Jahren und fand es sehr schön das gelbe Biest 2018 mal wieder live zu sehen. Gruß aus Niedersachsen

Martin Schanche still holds the Lap record at Lydden before it was changed never to be broken, it was at the above round you see that the Lap record went to Mister Rallycross 👌🏻
I was at both :) (Fredrik) This is just made for fun at a cheap free moviemaker a couple of years ago. In martins favour they had a dry track. Its pretty moist when Petter is at it. ;)
Martin was awesome at Lydden and occasionally hot headed too. Went many times over the years not been since img took over had many trips around Europe.

With the force’s Generated by the Group B’s the teams had to start bolting the tyres to the rims, as the tyres would be rolled off the rims in the corners and also at the starts and out of the hairpins the wheels would spin inside the tyres putting them out of balance. Also the cornering G forces meant Will Gollop couldn’t hold onto the steer wheel with the outside hand 01:02. In the last seconds of the video, when Schanche was celebrating throwing the RS200 side to side with all wheels spinning he just caught a patch of earth with big lumps of mud and flints. The European Rallycross event was the biggest meeting of the year for Lydden and there was car dealer marques around the track, A lotus dealers display with 2 brand new Lotus Esprits were on the hill right up against the spectator fence, I know this as I was parked along side the the 2 Esprits. Now Schanche’s celebration display, good as it looked from afar, but everyone the other side of the fence were showered with grass, mud and rocks. My car, girlfriend and I got away with being covered in mud and grass, but the 2 Esprits were showered with grass and mud too but also with flints and rocks. One lotus had scratches all over it and the other was scratched up too but a rock smashed the glass engine cover. Martin lived up to his nick name that time, with a lot of people missing out the “Martin Schanche the” part and just shouted the last rhyming word (meaning to pleasure one’s self )of his U.K nick name at him as he drove around and down to the presentation area.
I take it you dont like him, cause of he did this out of pure luck. I challenge you to name another driver that ruins race meets with fights, bumps into competitors after the finishing line, and acting up like this on purpose.

Barry O' Toole id refer to changing gear properly as in a H pattern box where you have to select a gear as opposed to clicking back and forward in a sequential box takes away the the part of driving skill not missing gears when your under pressure

I was there at both events, it is not really a fair comparison, the two eras were very different times, Back in the Group B era cars were all but built and run by one individual with a small workshop, now in the FIA era teams have manufacturer backing, development budgets, testing etc. That said back in the group B days there was far less in the way of restrictions. Schanche set the record for the track with old finish line on the Dover slope at 2-28.8, I very crudely timed Solberg for two and a half laps (when he jokered on his last lap) to the old finish line then added one lap time, He did a high 2-25 or low 2-26, most of his competitors got under Schanche record such is the strength in depth of the FIA championship, no one else in the group days got under 2-30, That said it is less than three seconds difference thirty years apart.
Its nothing other then a funny comparison. Solbergs race where held at damp conditions also. But still I think the poorly(compared to today) handling RS200 was quick at this circuit. I was also at both events (Admin)

It was great until they put weight in the car (lead) and air restrictor to limit the power,the best racing ever.

Engine is mounted North to South, with a 5speed sequential gearbox from MDS.
