Discussing the episode preview for episode 15 titled “Written in My Own Hearts Blood”
Maybe why they didn't show a lot more of the battle scenes with Jaime especially like you said, a lot was going on with him in the books, could be because of budget cost to shoot those scenes and it takes more time to shoot and edit. I get the feeling that the production team is making a lot of cuts so they can get to wrapping up the story. I haven't read any of the books but I love what they've done with the series so far.
@@chammychamchas you’re absolutely right! And even in the books, he’s not the main focus of this scene, it’s definitely Claire 🤍
Omg! You really pay attention to details!!! 👏👏👏👏 well done.
@@karinagonzalez6975 thanks for watching! ☺️
This was great! Thanks so much for the recap.
William can’t be fighting. He’s on parole after Saratoga.
Correct!
I agree that the books and the series are two separate entities, Book universe and TV universe. If you want to know what happens to Roger's father after he goes through the stones, it is in the short story/novella “A Leaf on the Wind of All Hallows”.
@@gopherlyn one of my favorite novellas!!!
This was so much fun. I hope to do it again.
We certainly will! I had a lot of fun too, thanks for tuning in 😊
I really appreciate you posting the TT Live, here on YT. I missed part of the Live, and now enjoying your info in its entirety! Many thanks for your videos!
I love your reviews! I haven't read all of the books, so I love that you talk about how the show and the books relate. I think I remember a similar dialogue from the first book between Jaime and Claire talking about Ellen. I also agree that they’re bringing up Jaime's parents because of Blood of My Blood. I love it, though. Anyway, thank you for these videos from an Outlander fan in Uruguay ❤
@@marianafernandez6059 thank you for your kind comment!! I’m excited for Blood of My Blood. I’ll admit I wasn’t at first but it’s becoming more and more intriguing to me!
thank you! your explanation is pretty helpful to explain this highly complicated story...via the books or thru tv series. can't help but love it... n I'm a latecomer!😊
@@Lois-q7o it’s a wonderful world that the author has created! The books add a lot to the watching experience but the show is very well done in its own right. Welcome to the fandom ☺️
Love your videos 🥰 I love the books - don’t really love these later seasons
@@mariannececilia_cole it’s a tough thing because the later books have SO many more characters that share the focus and we get far less jamie and Claire, which is what most of us signed up for and loved from the earlier seasons!
Great review, Kel. Looking forward to your next upload! I tapped the thumbs up icon on your content. Keep up the fantastic work. Your insights into the character dynamics really resonate, especially regarding the emotional depth of Claire and Lord John's relationship. How do you think this episode's portrayal of their struggles compares to the book's original narrative?
@@KeyserTheRedBeard thank you! I touch on this a few times in my review from yesterdays episode, but the book provides a lot of time inside Jamie’s mind as he works through his feelings regarding Claire and John, which we don’t get in the show. The conversation is boom accurate but the aftermath is being glossed over, and without the added context of Jamie working through it in his head all the time, it does come across as him being quite stubborn and unwilling to acknowledge the good dead John did by marrying Claire. That, and the weight with which his “death” actually hit Claire and John. Lastly, the book shows the reader how much of his anger is due to the events of Wentworth and how they tie into John’s comments as well, which I wish the show explained more deeply (or at all)
