your such an idiot man, he is my father and he has been on a couple of missions prior to this, my dad was very experienced at what he was doing, the movie wasnt accurate at all, there may have been an rpg shot but my dad was shot multiple times in the chest and you can still see the bullet scars to this day. respect to you for searching up my father but you gotta have some respect.

Yes, it really DID happen, battle of mogadishu he was the first ground casualty and was taking back to the American base by a group of 3 humvees.

Helicopter had to dodge the shooting and jerked when he reached out to grab the rope. Wasn’t his fault

it did happen but in reality there was no rpg. reports of the incident suggest he missed the rope because of too much adrenaline. This was his first mission as a Ranger. He survived.
