    I don't think you are correctly stating the basic facts. Yes, it is possible to have varied understandings but you are using that MISHRA to parrot the lies that the British spread about Hinduism vis-a-vis the caste system. British created a caste system. We have Varna and Jati, and still relevant. Ram Mohan Roy was a Christian convert, planted by the British, like Gandhi, to manage the narrative. We know them. British created the CASTE system and fed it with affirmative action. Crafted Socio-economic deprivation(millions died in the Bengal famine)and CASTE served as an administrative structure to maintain the wedge we still have today. essentiallyEconomic. Oxford did that those days, now Harvard does it today. You must be a devout Christian. We don't have suppression of WOMAN. It is a phenomenon or fallout of post-Islamic invasion and British loot. At least be true.

      @randygalbraith2553 Рік тому

      Hi Logan. Yes, for the most part. Some of our family got COVID but recovered. My mother, who was in her 90s, died after getting the virus. She had taken (reluctantly) her initial COVID vaccine but decline the booster when it became available. Many years ago Jehovah's Witnesses publish anti-vaccine comments in their magazines. I suspect that still was influencing my mother. We moved from Arizona to Vermont so we're now in a much more rural setting. Kind regards, -Randy

      @@randygalbraith2553 I'm glad (most) of your family made it through. I'm also an Ex-JW who has made my way to UU because, while I'm an atheist, I'm also a humanist who feels a pull towards religious community. I currently live in Louisiana, and while I no longer live with my mother, my mother lives less than a mile from me. My mother refused to vaccinate and cited old JW teachings, but thankfully my mother survived. That said, I made it to age 27 thinking I was asexual, but I think I'm developing some same-sex attraction to guys in my late 20s, and what's strange is even though I left JW a long time ago, it still feels like exploring those feelings are wrong somehow. Also, I probably won't ever mention these feelings to my mom because it will just upset her worse than she already is. My mother doesn't shun me because I was never baptized, and I have pretty bad ADHD despite also having been a gifted child, so she feels the need to help me with the logistics of day-to-day life. My curiousity and love of learning that got me so far in grade school and college doesn't seem to help me much with the daily tasks of the working world, so I've struggled with work even though I never struggled with school. The UU church serves as a bit of a sanctuary when I'm off work so I don't have to think about work, and all the cruelty I face for my disabilty. I've been on every medication available to help me with motivation and focus, but nothing helps. This makes employers see my struggles as some kind of willful moral failing rather than something I'd pay anything to overcome. This makes me wonder if I should get a masters of social work to perform independent talk therapy with clients so I can free myself from the burden of working for a boss. Regardless, I hope you and your family enjoys Vermont and being in a more rural setting. I personally have always found rural areas very peaceful and healing. Also, with climate change making summers hotter and hotter, I'd imagine the cooler summers will be enjoyable to you. May you be well in your future life journey.

    this is an old video but dude STFU Sati was a fake construct and has been debunked over and over again. Johar was a real thing...In that Rajput women would take their own life after their husbands or the kingdom fell. They didn't want the enemy to even see them. Sati on the other hand as stated by these stupid westerners and the stooge ram Mohan Roy was just a fake construct...I am from Bengal and not in my family not in my neighborhood after asking hundreds of people I found this never really happened. They all had the same answer, no it wasn't in our family but I did hear about it happening. This is something I kept hearing so I went on looking for that family, there were no official records from that time nothing. So, Sati was just another method for Brits to show they were the better race and that our culture was barbaric and primitive.

    There is no caste system There is only varna system Elitism exists in every society It is the very human nature There is no subjugation of women There is only respect We are the only major religion with divine feminine that stands equal to divine masculine Sati pratha is and was never a thing It was not a tradition but a choice Sure a select few (could be counted using hands) did force women to do sati sometimes (those times could also be counted with hands), but that is bad decision by bad people, it was never and never could be a social tradition There is no discrimination Only distinction in Hinduism We are the only religion with no colour discrimination In Hinduism there is no idea for discrimination as I explained above Shiva Shankar is white (divine masculine) Vishnu is Dark skinned (divine masculine) Gauri / Durga is fair (divine feminine) Kali is black as moonless night (divine feminine) So whatever label the west wants to put on Hinduism is only created because of EITHER their lack of knowledge and respect of Hinduism OR their agenda to vilify Hinduism Both of which are false Abrahmics are so short sighted that they have to view things through some or other kind of lenses Hinduism on the other hand doesn't need any lens It sees all as it is Not only the religion but also the traditions of Hinduism make sense scientifically. It's just that those who don't know, mock them All kinds of sciences are part of holy scriptures in Hinduism (for example - "Tark Shashtra" that is Science of Reasoning, "Nyaay Shashtra" that is on Fairness and Justice, "Jyotish" that is on astronomy and time) Hinduism did not destroy anything in its wake even if you suppose that there was something present earlier, which clearly wasn't Whereas Abrahmics tried everything in their power to keep the science down Abrahmic religions are the enemy of science and reason Abrahmics destroyed the previous religions in the lands they were born and where they spread The whole concept of killing others because their religion or culture is different was born with the Abrahmic religions. It is in its dna. Because of their wholly misguided mission to bring others into their creed What sort of ultimate creator is racist and wants one of his creation to destroy other. Is he incompetent too and he also seems to not be aware of future That means he does not dictate the flow of time Even if he was aware there is no explanation given as to why innocent others must be killed He also seems to be bad at communication as he needs other humans to talk on his behalf There is no cross verification if the messenger mixes false with truth Closed source code kind of thing Whereas in Hinduism it's like FOSS code, no guru can mislead entire population, he will be either rejected or course corrected, he certainly can mislead individuals though but that is only applicable to fools as fools can be found anywhere Hinduism doesn't just accept science, it is it's proponent Even though Hinduism has been around for thousands of years It never killed or even felt the need to kill or oppress anyone for their creed In the millenniums gone by, when India was super power, Hinduism never waged war with others to spread itself. Otherwise there would have been Hinduism in Europe and africa being practiced en masse Although bad guys are to be feared But no bad guy should test a gentleman's patience For when it run out those little runts will know what fear is

      At John 14:23 Jesus said "Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them." Although I am not a Christian, I nonetheless appreciate the thought here. It is one thing to claim "I love Jesus" but the challenge is to be guided by his teachings. To love ones neighbor. To pray for those who would persecute us. And speak truth. Part of this for me is to be open and honest about my lack of belief in a divine being. But such doesn't divorce me from admiration for the ideals gospel writers expressed about Jesus. Kind regards, -Randy

I want them to know that while I am not a JW, I nonetheless am still able to attend memorial respectfully. In the case of my mother-in-law even bringing her. Since leaving the faith I have also intentionally done religious things to challenge myself. Attending services a Synagogue and Latin Catholic Mass are examples. I find it oddly empowering. Finally, I feel my memorial attendance can be of some service to Ex-JW community. In that it tends to show we, as individuals, have power. As a JW I lived much of my life assuming that was not the case. I must only do what was defined by the faith and fit within what is considered "normal." Kind regards, -Randy
