All Super 2000 cars are constrained by a 8'500 rpm top engine speed and homologated gear ratios. The Peugeot 207 S2000 for example has two homologated gear sets, the short one (which is the normal one) gives a top speed of about 165 km/h and the long one about 175 km/h, where the 5th and 6th gear are slightly longer. Despite the modest top speed, S2000 (and their quicker derivatives, 1.6L turbocharged WRC, RRC and to some extent R5 cars, which are all extensions of the S2000 regulations) are untouchable on rally courses thanks to incredible (INCREDIBLE) cornering speed and braking.

Problem solved !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Idle control valve was dirty ... cleaned it up and it works again !
