Q500 Typhoon - Highlands End Holiday Park, Eype, Dorset UK
Flying my Yuneec Q500 Typhoon Quadcopter around Highlands End Campsite, near Bridport, Dorset, during our stay in August 2015.
Filmed in 1080p, 60fps and edited in Final Cut Pro.
I composed the music myself and threw it together very quickly to accompany the video!
Some footage is a little wobbly, I think due to unbalanced propellers.

My brother and I took our Traxxas Revo 3.3's to Frankley MCC track, near Birmingham, for the first time in about 7 years today. I took my Q500 quadcopter and did some filming but it was way too windy and I didn't fly for long. We met two guys there who were racing their Kyosho's around the track. Flying my Q500 Typhoon quadcopter over Forge Mill Museum and Bordesley Abbey Meadows and ruins. This is where I grew up, and my parents still live there now. My Mum and Dad's house can be seen, flying directly above around 4 minutes into the video. Filmed at 1080p 60fps and edited in iMovie on Mac. Flying my Yuneec Q500 Typhoon quadcopter for the first time. It was rather windy out but I couldn't wait any longer to fly it! You can see the propellers in the picture occasionally, probably because the Q500 was working hard to fight against the wind, and keep the camera stable. The movie itself isn't very interesting as you can see, but I just wanted to get a feel for the controls on the quad...
Love the video so relaxing. Fantastic coverage especially when the seagulls flyby.
Was this before the new rules about not flying over residential areas ?

Where are the best places to fly in Redditch without being hassled, I'm about to get my first drone but after scouring the internet I'm wondering if ill ever find a local place to fly it.

For a camp site that states in its rules that 'drones' are prohibited - this is the 6th video Ive seen in the last 2 years !! :-o
I am not sure when their rule was instated. They pulled me last year for flying from the dog walking area (right on the cliff)...…..I just moved outside their boundary and took off from an adjacent field. I didn't fly over their site, so I figured they have no worries. I am going there again tomorrow and I will be armed with an Inspire 1 Pro and a Mavic. There are some awesome shots along the cliff line. I am hoping to liaise with the paragliding club to organise some aerial shots of them flying.

The wobbly footage and noisey camera just means you need to adjust the counterbalance weight on the camera mate. hopefully this helps

Breathe - RC Thanks! I don't know anyone else with a quadcopter. FPV racing not really my thing! What do you fly?
Mostly home builds have a couple of 250 fpv racers zmr250 same as luminier a 450 flamewheel spiderquad with apm2.5 and my fav is a tri-copter quite fast and many many planes and heli's try to fit it but as you probably know not enough hours :)

Hi. How do you rate this quad against the dji phantom say?.
Hi, I haven't used a DJI Phantom, but I was going to buy one before I heard about the Q500 Typhoon! I think there are some advantages over the Phantom. For example, the follow me feature and having a built in screen on the transmitter. Yuneec seem to have a good track record so far, I've read about lots of fly aways with the Phantom! Yuneec customer service seems good too, I've spoken to Yunnec UK a couple of times. Q500 also comes with 6 months warranty.
I have been reading that there is a video issue with lag and also the feed freezing. They are bringing out the new 4k camera in the next few weeks so I hope that's fixed.
