Hoje faz 2 anos que meu vô se foi, tenho outro comentário aqui nesse mesmo video que postei alguns dias após sua morte, e é incrível que sempre que eu volto aqui tenho a mesma sensação de que tive quando escutei pela primeira vez. Ouvir isso me deixa ainda mais com saudade, penso nele todos os dias e sempre que quero voltar em nossos ultimos momentos juntos eu volto aqui, obrigado por esse remix e nunca tire ele do ar por favor. God I love this alternative version of Stereo Hearts. The OG track has remained one of my all-time fav songs ever, not just for how much of a bop it is, but also How much meaning the the lyrics' narrative holds. For me, Stereo Hearts always embodied the essence of loving companionship. Specifically, the type of liberating fulfillment you get from others in your life within the relationships you build through a foundation of genuine trust & compassion. When you have someone who you can always be there for each other through thick & thin, people who understand & uplift you; It's enough to make your heart sing, like a stereo! Whether it be a romantic love, a strong brotherly friendship, a kinship between guardian and youth, etc. Comes in many shapes and forms, but still carries the same true elements that binds us together. in this somber melody variant, It really emphasizes on the more melancholy aspect of the dialogue. Discussing how easily a relationship can be tarnished as its formed when the care someone has for you is only surface level. Especially when people only form a relationship for superficial reasons and would disregard you once you're of no use to them, as exemplified through the metaphorical lyrics; "If I was just another dusty record on the shelf, would you blow me off and play me like everybody else?" It also displays how damaging an experience of betrayal like this can be by making it hard to trust again, but at the end of the day still yearning for this heartful love to be in your life despite how elusive it may be to some.
