The old adage "You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar" is actually wrong. Flies are attracted to decay, which honey is incredibly resilient to.

Those things do work really well. You need better bait, or some flies.

I've personally witnessed my cat, catching and eating two flies. I myself have caught a fly between my fingers as it flew, and one between chopsticks, which i let outside.
