Thank you for filming the forming of the pots (Pot drums/gongs), it filled in the few gaps that kept me from even attempting. My grandson introduced me to Gamelan music, bali, javanese, and variations. I love the music and aspire to continue making instruments. I figure each instrument I make allows someone to have an opportunity to create music. I realize I should be making sets, but for now I'm ok with making practice instruments for those that wish to practice while away from the group. It is a wonderful feeling, where I as a maker and the musician get an equal balance of joy. The addition of musical instruments has helped me change the art that I work on. This has re-ignited my passion for creating usable art while also delving into an early life joy of music. Looking into your gamelan films also helped my grandson and I connect on an amazing level that is so extremely special for us. That is rare these days and it should not be. I miss the multi-generational interaction that was more common when I was a child. I feel that such things are crucial to create a close family structure, that is not only supportive, it also naturally moves all members forward in life's journey. Again, thank you, your film was very well done. I look forward to any future journeys that you share on the net.

Tukang tawa dan klenang jg belum begitu hapal sama lagu..jadinya banyak yg salah.

Gending yg ada di kaset belajar menari itu rekamannya tanpa sepengetahuan penata..jadinya tukang sulingnya ngak tau melodi lagu tp dia membranikan diri utk ikut.. Ya amburadul jadinya.

Gendingnya yg ini sebenarnya gending yg sesungguhnya nggih. Niki dr tiang pak budiana pencipta tabuhnya yg ikut megamel. Yg dikaset belajar tarinya itu amburadul karena tukang sulingnya gak tau gending. Jadi salah semua kedengarannya.
