No spikes or studs of any kind.. 😁 Never used. On conditions like this one it’s ok with 40-47mm regular tyres, 4bar air pressure and a hybrid bike. I do like some ”different kind” weather.. 🤪 wind direction was from south so perfect back wind me to go next town (40/50km) and take a train back. Naturally pretty dangerous with cars because road surface was what it was and Finnish way to pass is ”no waiting and anywhere goes”. 🙄 Finally getting warmer; +4C now and rare thing on the sky… The Sun is visible! 🤩

Winter kicking still strong... Yesterday even more snow! C'mon Spring!

Hardest, without any sleep, trip was my second Ötztaler Radmarathon 2015. Didn’t get any sleep before it and earlier at evening did trip to Vent. Got wife with me then and told her that this time might be ”broom wagon” my sweeper.. did survive through and I keep that ”best cycling” what I’ve done. Anyway I like to use night time when it’s possible. Usually here traffic is lame, but after midnight till five it’s completely dead. Today went out at 6 till 8.. only way to even consider to use road bike is going night time because our roads are in so bad shape that only bigger roads are drivable. I live by the sea and that means just three possibility to use and only two roads; road 170 is east-west and VT15 up to north. Otherwise need to wait ice and snow to melt; which is going fast.. today +3C with 10-15m/s south wind and rest of day will rain plain water. My videos are just ”raw” versions to put into my own ”ware house” here UA-cam..hahahahah.. never learned any softwares and lazy to use time uploading. ;) But still like to comment, almost just and only, well made and interesting Alpein videos. Yours are many times good exsamples how to use music with video! My ”second home” is western Austria.. would love to live there. But till that happens have to try to get short vacations.. missing so much already. Damn plandemia! LoL and not LoLling at same time… End of wall of text. 😁

@@jhcycling3098, oha! Ötztaler Radmarathon! What a fight! :D I am impressed! That's quite hard. And with the traffic, I know exactly what you mean! We have good enough roads here for road cycling, cyclable even in daytime, but unfortunately no (and I mean really NO) mountains around in Leipzig. That's the bummer! So I have to travel one to two hours everytime I wanna have trails in the mountains. And the Alps are my second home too, as you might expect. :D In one week I start a island trek (on foot) at Terneriffe to start my outdoor season 2023. In the cold season it's my personal salvation. Happy Biking and may the winter be quick and finished soon! :D

Thanks! Weather was awesome! :) I like storms, Finnish (lame) way, snow or thunder.. and this winter has brought a few days of snow storm joy. Actually I don’t like anymore snow because winter from November till April is just tooooo long! But special weather is a must to go out. I hear seldom word ”beautiful” if not summer time (at summer almost all places here are beautiful) and It’s just nice! :)

Try also lotto, because finding Yourself from some video with no subs and no shows from some odd Northern dude is like finding that famous "needle in a hay stack". LoL! :)) But hey, who wouldn't like to be in Montafon!

Went there hour before opening just to be first. Had my bicycle helmet with camera on to film. So hands were free to PUSH lever DOWN whole ride. You can’t hear even once breaking ”hss” noise. Yes, went from beginning to the end as fast as that can go. I take on road cycling up to 90km/h so that 40km/h is just too low limited.. could go a BIT faster with that seating. With those other places smaller sledges it’s different, but these big ones are safe on taller persons back too... ;)

Been at Montafon every Summer last ten Years. Two weeks at this Summer. Just a top place! :)

@Die Anime-Kings If anyway possible, of course. :D Perfect situation for my purposes at Summertime! Missed this Summer, obvious reasons.. damn virus! But there's a live stream all the time from Bartholomäberg down to Schruns so easy to check the weather and whats happening on overall the area with own eyes!

@Die Anime-Kings Niemals zu spät.. or something like that. Time is eternal.. we people just come and go. Yep, mein "hoch Deutsch" ist so schlimm das ich verstehe nur ein bischen aber nervig "montafunerisch" ist nicht.. I like different dialects even doesn't understand a bit. :))

Yep, been there, done that (actually few times already :) ) and I even might have a video somewhere if it recorded right. (waiting to publishing) It's really steep hill... but like You said; peaceful. From Kops there's a optical false; You think going down, but actually going up... I have found a couple of those from Alps so far.
