One of our awesome customers made this video for us. Thank you so very much for the amazing drone footage! The Harley rake is WAAAY too big for this tractor, but our new tractor is not here yet. (More to come on the new tractor, eventually!) We made it work but the poor little guy.

    Do you know where I can find a video explaining and showing a tractor using a pull plow, In which directions it needs to go in order to get rid of the snow on a road?

  • @JHKennedy4
    @JHKennedy4 2 місяці тому

    This is exactly what I’ve been looking to see to decide between a box blade or scraper to rip up ice.

    • @ptoenterprisesllc
      @ptoenterprisesllc 2 місяці тому

      @JHKennedy4 awesome! You'll want the Heaviest box blade of the appropriate width for your tractor. It's not on this video, but we added chain boxes to our quik hitch to add more weight,and having 2 15ft lengths of logging chain that stay on the tractor comes in handy.

    What tractor / PTO horsepower were you running?

    • @ptoenterprisesllc
      @ptoenterprisesllc 4 місяці тому

      @MCUT871 we have a Kubota B2650 with a 25 horsepower engine. The power rake was way too big for this tractor, but our other tractor isn't here yet.

      @@ptoenterprisesllcSo about 18 at the PTO, dang. Still the road came out good. We were mostly curious on how the rake behaved and how much HP you are going to. (Deciding between 2 tractors myself)

    • @ptoenterprisesllc
      @ptoenterprisesllc 4 місяці тому

      @MCUT871 The rake is definitely too big for the little tractor. If we didn’t have a hydraulic top link, we probably couldn't get it off the ground.

      @user-pk8xe2hf5l all depends on what you're doing. We did some research and the standard rotation does better with the rocks. We never know what we are getting into at a customers yard. Reverse rotation does fluff it up better.

    I think You did a great job. Spent some time in Fairbanks in the late 60’s. The available equipment at that time was very basic. Have seen Kubota equipment in Oregon, and everyone is happy with it. Your snow collector is a big help , took me a short while to get used to it , but well worth it. Good luck with your business Alaska is a great place to be.

    Why didn't you clean under the mailbox? And I would have gone along the direction of the road next to the snow bank and cleaned up. By the way I would never buy a Kubota with that stupid treadle pedal they suck. Give me a two pedal John Deere every time. Your heel never moves, you simply pivot your toes left or right as needed. Can run them all day they are so comfortable.

    • @normhowes2975

      John Deere is a great tractor, however every front attachment has an up-charge and can not be sold to or used by anyone but a Deere owner. I can borrow from my LS neighbor and he from me and my Mahindra.

    So you are plowing for different customers to make some money. I need to ask you if you have the correct insurance for your safety as most people don't think about it. If you plow your own driveway most homeowners insurance will pay for damages but if you go onto the road to clean around your mailbox and cause an accident with another vehicle most insurance companies will simply abandon you if it's not on your policy to cover your tractor off your property. If you cause damages on someone else's property while plowing snow for them without the proper insurance you could end up losing a lot or more. I'm not an insurance guy but had a friend hit a gas line at a clients house which ended up costing him several thousand dollars because he had no insurance on his tractor while using it off property to plow some ones driveway. You have a great set up and a cab will be worth the wait.

    No offense but you hit the shovel around 1:30 I would be mad if I were the customer. I don’t run a land pride blade, but I never slam my blade down on asphalt like that. Finesse is the name of the game, with that said I don’t run a commercial business and have plenty of time. I sure love my l2501dt! Happy plowing!
