INTERNAL WALL INSULATION TRAINING FOR PLASTERERS
ARE YOU A PLASTERER WHO WANTS TO LEARN ABOUT INTERNAL WALL INSULATION?
Learn the key fundamentals of internal wall insulation including identifying damp problems and understanding where and when to use IWI.
I see many bad iwi jobs and incorrect installs which leads to long term property damage and can actually worsen damp issues! For these reasons it is important to gain the correct product knowledge and knowledge on substrates and buildings before installing internal wall insulation.
T.I.W.I systems
One thing that puts homeowners off having internal wall insulation installed is the sacrifice to floorspace and the disruption involved.
Modern day T.I.W.I systems (Thin internal wall insulation) have changed the game for the IWI market and often means big thermal uplifts can be achieved without needing to install thick layers of insulation.
Are you interested in learning about internal wall insulation?

I had this problem and customer called me back due to a bathroom mirror light that shined at the back of the mirror. Looked atrocious 😅. Explained that it was glancing light and they weren’t having it. Everywhere looked great other than that one wall around the mirror. Opted to paper it in the end to resolve it. Absolute nightmare these mirror and lights are nowadays. Glad I’m not the only one. I don’t deem to be the best plasterer I get by and do a decent job but this one really got me down!

@@joejames6696 Your welcome. Keep in mind that I coach newly self employed lads and help them to get their plastering business set up and get work coming in for free using Google and video marketing strategies. This will save you thousands on Mybuilder and Checkatrade. Most of my members have spent an average of 3k with checkatrade when they join and after 2 months they can bin checkatrade off and go full organic with no marketing costs. It's a game changer. I also help with the job management and organisation / communication side and dealing with customers as this is a big struggle for many trades lads. If I'm honest getting work for me is the easy part. Keeping all the balls in the air and making sure job bookings don't crash is where you need the training and the guidance so that you get repeat business over and over and continuously get 5 star reviews coming in.. Your spot on pal! I worked flat out like dick head for about 20 odd years! And I used to experience burn out all the time. I’ve been through many things in my life, with dependency issues. The start of this year way I think the 10-15th time is been in hospital and it only hit home when the consultant said to me, if you keep going through life like this. It will kill you! Right there and then, the penny dropped. Since then I’ve buried the business’s and made a new start. I just work the hours required and make a point of not working no much. As you rightly put I was working flat out for a life style was just bollox! Fair play to ya big respect for the video, top man! Everything you said was bang on! 😎👍

I know you can't control who phones you as its random based on recommendation or if you live in the local area. I have a mate that's a session musician and he always talks about getting the lucrative gigs. They don't exist imo. Just jobs. All paying the going rate which is the minimum they can get someone that has the skills to do it. I don't shop at Waitrose, I shop at Aldi. If i won the lottery id still shop at Aldi. JMO. Others may disagree. Good video though. Very knowledgeable.

I needed to be the Gold Medal Plaster on every site I worked on - The Fastest & Best! ... Generally I was - But then you find yourself in too much demand by contractors who need the houses bumped out at speed 'and' a qualty job. You chase your tail trying to please everyone! But of course you can't - And then you retire with a broken body and no-one gives a Toss! ... Being at work 6 or 7 days a week grafting on the tools non stop will hurt your relationships. Take it from someone who knows. Avoid the self employment trap by creating boundaries and rules with customers and also having a 'switch off' button so that you stop taking your work stress into the family home. Increase your income and target better jobs by learning how to screen new enquiries, specialising and building your reputation and attracting great customers who respect your time instead of tyre kickers and price hagglers. This allows you to cut down your working hours while increasing earnings. 80p is all you need to start your coaching journey making this program the most cost effective and easily accessible training course ever made for self employed plasterers & tradespeople. How to start a plastering business? Join the Trowel Talk newsletter to access my FREE job cost analysis guide for plasterers. Learn the key fundamentals of job pricing and calculate how much you are worth based on your skill level 👇👇👇👇👇 bit.ly/49Y9NgV What should you consider before starting your plastering business and what should you charge? Let me introduce myself my name is Stu Roberts I have been in the plastering business / self employment game for 20 years I am also the founder of Trowel Talk Plasterers Community group & Podcast. I also coach self employed plasterers helping them to leverage their skills and knowledge to maximise their opportunities and earning potential. A big problem for newly self employed plasterers is finding work. Another big problem for newly self employed plasterers is pricing work and dealing with tax and trying to manage their social media and marketing. Unfortunately they often fall prey to expensive lead gen sites or social media management/ website companies who charge them thousands of pounds but deliver no real tangible results. As sad as it sounds many of these companies exploit tradesmen and are out purley to make as much money off the working man as possible. In my early years I made all of these mistakes and wasted thousands on companies promising me big results but all I had was an empty wallet and no work coming in. This is when I decided to learn everything I could on organic marketing and started to generate my own leads and manage my own websites I emersed myself in everything "Google" which has completely changed the game for me and has done the same for many of my coaching group members too. What's insane is 99% of lead generation online can be done for FREE using a smartphone. But because tradespeople predominantly work with their hands on the tools they have never took the time to learn the skills and strategies to bring in organic leads and so they end up paying out thousands to companies like checkatrade who last year made a sickening profit of almost 60 million pounds off the back of the working man by selling on customer contact details for extortionate prices. In my coaching program I will teach you step by step how to build websites and rank your free Google account in the number 1 spot for free. I will also walk you through some simple video marketing strategies and help you to create and optimise a UA-cam channel and Facebook business page. We also train you on a simple CRM system to help you organise and manage customer information, create quotes and invoices on the go and keep track of your costs. Learning these vital skills will mean you can move away from greedy lead gen companies and start to become self sufficient with your sales and marketing strategy instead of outsourcing everything to companies which eats all of your hard earned profit. So if you are considering starting a plastering business or have been self employed for some time but you are struggling to make ends meet and are working every hour god sends.. Or you are trapped inside memberships with checkatrade and mybuilder and can't see a way out..Then check out our coaching program today which runs at just 80p per day making it the most affordable and accessible coaching program ever created for self employed Plasterers. Just curious... why don't people repoint the bad mortar joints before replastering?

The sand and cement plaster is pushed into the joints when applying scratch coat 👍

I won't advise to join Checkatrade as a trader unless you are willing to pay a lot of money and waste a lot of time battling with a system that's is set up to take all of your money and force you to pay for services you don't need, their call centre is only helpful and kind when they call to sell you services, my experience has been awful and even though I have ceased trading they won't let me cancel the services and all the auto renewal system they have in place will put you in a bad financial situation. Stay away from checkatrade, they have made my life a misery in the last month.
