Hey, 1979 babies - believe it or not, it's time to schedule your colonoscopy. We agree, 45 isn't what it used to be. You're still young and hip! But colorectal cancer doesn't care. In fact, more people your age are being diagnosed with, and dying from, colorectal cancer. So do what the cool kids are doing, and get screened! #ColorectalCancerAwarenessMonth #45isthenew50

I’m scared. I’ve been on pantoprazole for a long time and I’m having pretty serious memory issues. I have Barrett’s esophagus. Ugh.
Thank you

How are the images transferred for the retrieval and non retrieval capsules? Are they using wireless communication or something else?
They are using wireless communication through RF transmitter and antenna connected inside the capsule

Hola buenas tardes
Hello. How long does the capsule work?
It contains nano components like Optical lens, LED, transmitter , SoC &LoC circuit integrated the data is transferred through wireless communication
Why can't they do this for a colonoscopy. This I would do. Colonoscopy no way !!
They can and they do. This is used for the large bowel too.
Because they can’t take biopsys or remove polyps this way.
She says people are embarrassed to talk about this. What would be more embarrassing then this crazy test ? No frigging way. Yes the catheter is scary she makes it sound like it's nothing.
No help
Congratulations 🎉

have had trouble since my teens. switching back and forth many times even just in a day I would NEVER consider this test. I will make whatever adjustments might be necessary, but this ... NO
I don't blame you at all. I don't have any of these but. I would feel the same. Wish you luck !
Why
Si.
Thank you for bringing up this question. I was prescribed Zoltex and have been taking it intermittently as needed, with a good effect of 2 days after 40mg, and while taking it, I had no problems with acid reflux or stinging pain somewhere in my esophagus (always the same area, awfully painful). I was told to be taking it for a short period of time until the irritation, inflamation in my esophagus calms down, but it keeps on reocurring when I stop taking Zoltex (pantoprazol) (could be my fault as I take too much coffee!). I found a quick and efficient remedy: (at least) 5 almonds (cut in thin leaves in order not to break my teath!) or grated into powder. It really helps immediately. Is there an alternative to Zoltex without its side effects?
I can almost guarantee you if you lower or eliminate carbohydrate consumption your symptoms will go away. Many GPs do not even know this but probably 95% of GERD/reflux cases are simply due to carbohydrate consumption. From the time carbohydrates enter your mouth and are broken down by saliva, signals are sent to release hormones that are implicated in the relaxation of the LES (lower esophageal sphincter), and excessive laxity of this muscle is how this disease manifests itself in most people due to the acidic stomach contents being brought back up. When the carbohydrates enter your stomach, it further relaxes the LES as a result of insulin secretion and also delays gastric emptying which exacerbates the problem further. I would suggest trying a few meals of only meat, eggs etc without any carbohydrates or additional vegetables when off medication and observe the results over time. If that works, look into keto, carnivore, or a heavily animal-based diets (with non-starchy vegetables if you must). If you absolutely must eat carbohydrates, try and keep the amount low always eat them together with enough fat/protein and eat them last in the meal. 👍
@@_kardus Thank you so much for your advice. I started working on it and it seems pretty effective.
Hello, can we use it for colon instead of colonoscopy? Best regards
Good question.. I would like to know too
In my understanding it can be used but if there is something different like a polip or a tumkr it would need a colonoscopy or to take it out or to make a biopsy

The capsule can get stuck and cause an obstruction requiring emergency intervention
Very rare
@@TheDarkDragonDemon Yes, very rare. 1-2% get stuck. Mine got stuck and after 2 months of hoping for it to come out and for an appointment for a double balloon enteroscopy, it was retrieved 3 days ago. I am now waiting for images, if any, and to learn the cause of my anemia and pain.

Gastric Emptying Study will diagnose gastroparesis.

If you don't know for sure, why mention the potential risk of dementia. It seems that this will only scare people from taking PPI's. For some people it's the only thing that helps prevent GI issues and even GI cancer. Wouldn't it be better to discuss the side effects that we do know about with long term PPI use? And why not mention alternatives to PPI's like H2 Blockers like Famotidine or Tums, combo Pepcid AC?
