Some Themes (by me)

I recorded these 6 themes for a contest for a guitar (maybe my only short-term chance to finally have a better guitar 😬). It was a cool experience and a challenge to create something with a beginning, middle and end within the 60-second limit, but, unfortunately, I didn't win... Despite this, I also sent the videos to Marty and it was really cool to read his feedback praising the "musicality"
I'm sharing them here so I don't lose the archive and also for the friends who follow me here and would like to hear some different things I've done besides the covers. Some of them surprised me A LOT and I hope to use these ideas in the future 🤷‍♂️ (who knows...)

I believe this is the most difficult song in Drama. Mirage works like a giant Marty's solo, and the paths he takes are very interesting to listen to. The entire construction of the final solo is impressive, what was even funnier was knowing that it all came from an improvisation with the drummer... This song is very reminiscent of the style of Dragon's Kiss, starting with the guitar tones chosen.

For me, this is one of the most beautiful songs of Marty's entire career. I loved this song, the way it was written makes me think it's a sequel to Miracle (apart from the title). I'm really looking forward to this new album Drama! I got some better equipment for recording (I believe you could see the improvement) but I still need to change these pickups. I wrote the piano score for this song in 2018 and I still remember the work I had to do to make it faithful to Marty's arrangement. I left the guitar with distortion to make a parallel with Marty's version of Ai Sansan, where there was only a piano, a violin, and the distorted guitar. I think it was a good deconstruction.
