I've started to read this book online (free). It's fantastic and the detail is really inspiring. Mel Gibson used this book for his movie, 'The Passion of 'Christ'. In my novus ordo church where we have latin mass regularily....none of the claims from the pope hold water. No one makes the effort to go the trouble of going to latin mass at our church as a mark of disrespect to anyone. Everyone who goes was a person who went to the ordinary mass before. Some people go back and forth between types of mass for a long time. Then something seems to happen inside them and they just start coming to the TLM mostly. We all go because the Latin mass and the teaching from it helps us grow closer to God. It makes sense in our lives. It's fruitful in our lives in a way the other mass never has been. This is only my 3rd year going to latin mass. It's a huge learning curve, but more people come now than 3 years ago when i first started. I hope it continues to grow. Also Father, I think you are being unnecessarily hard on yourself. I very much doubt you are in any way disrespectful to anyone, least of all your bishop. Enthusiasm and unintentional forgetfulness are not examples of disrespect . Real disrespect requires contempt for the one being disrespected.

I have a question: How could Judas go back after the Lord had said it would have been better if he was never born? Wouldn’t that make the Lord wrong if he went back? Sorry if that’s a bad question, really just wanna get my head round if he had a chance after he betrayed the Lord.

One thing which strikes me as a word of warning about the life of Judas is that he hurt Jesus the most, and yet he was one of the 12 closest men to Jesus! Even when we are close to Jesus, the Devil can try to sneak into our lives. We can never be too complacent and think "that can never happen to me because I am a good Catholic" - we always have to stand watch for the serpent's tail in all aspects of our lives so we are aware of any lies which try to enter our homes and hearts!

Our Lady also was the the first Tabernacle. She received Jesus, Body, Blood,Soul and Divinity. In Her Body for nine months.

my kids LOVE seeing you and they are loving the beard! they think it's great! What a great list of things to do. I really love your reflection on praying the rosary slow and without distractions....what a blessing!!!! Still not really possible to do that as a busy family, but God willing it is still edifying to our soul!
