Pepeekeo mill now a power plant
Stumbled across this searching for semaphores on the Oahu railroad. Thank you for posting, sharing this. Incredible man, great history. They dont make em like him anymore. Really enjoyed this, so much history.
I love hearing Kupuna talk story especially about Hawai’i Nei long ago…. Listen well. ❤️🫶🏽
As a kid, I used to put a two headed nail on the track and the train would flatten it to form a trinket that would look like a sword. I also would put a penny on the track and it would come out oval shaped.
My aunt and uncle rode the train Eva on Friday, Dec 5 1941, leaving my dad to babysit my oldest cousin for the weekend.
Mahalo nui loa to all that made this possible. Thank you very much to; June’s Kaiki Grampa, for telling your story. Aloha to you all
It’s a real shame they took out the railroad along the Hamakua Coast of the Big Island. It would have made a spectacular tourist train ride that would still be making money. The route offers incredible views. Shame it’s gone.
Nice piece of history
💜💜
That would've been the population of railways to me. 🚂

No tiene nada que ver esto se llama bomba choteña es muy diferente y es otra música no es la misma
Conductor Wilson worked his way up and would have gone further. His memory represents the finest in railroad tradition. When the crew went fishing, Roy repaired a rail solo and didn't get mad at them. Just led by example.
Excelente cancion, muy buena para bailar, con orgullo ecuatoriano... carajo
Que recuerdos con este temazo en 2006.... la mejor participacion de la Seleccion Nacional en mundiales.. Alemania 06..! "Acelera un poquito..!!"👍👍👍💯💯💯

Really interesting video. Came across this by accident looking at a Tsunami video, as one fellow railwayman to another, this is a brilliant aural history of Hawaii's railways
Thanks for sharing bro!
Wish I was born in that era.
A beautiful legacy remembered... Mahalo nui loa for documenting such a nostalgic time in our Hawai’i history through the experiences of a great man. 🌺🌈🌴😊🌟
I always wondered what happened to trains in Hawaii. This film is priceless.A great story with a great man.Mahalo.
I only knew the trains between Kalihi and Damon Tract in Honolulu. My bedroom was a few yards away from the tracks so I knew the trains intimately.
Mahalo for the FANTASTIC upload!!!
