Rone is the Eternal City. Once it thought it was the only so called civilization, then it allowed Honor & Duty to be corrupted for personal gain before the state. And ignored the ideals that had made it great. Those ideals helped the Romans to cast off their Etruscan Kings & made The Republic of Rome the place where everyone wanted to go, to be a citizen of, to raise their children & build a life. Then Rome turned into an Empire of the self centered, its ideals cast away for gold & base pleasures. Madness crept in on little golden feet that grew until all its ideals were trampleled into dust. So ended The Republic of Rome, just as so ended their Etruscan Masters before them, the vile seeds of their destruction already inside of them eventually allowed to grow by ppl unwilling to hold the high moral ground because it was right over making money from any way possible no matter how wrong.
